“I mean… it’s even one they posed for. Imagine when there was no camera. The poor guy. He looks like he’d be happier eating of the trash then standing next to her. Who could blame him though? That girl complains more than Oscar the Grouch on Sesame Street and he’s… a grouch… who complains… and lives in the trash can. It’s his whole character.” Sierra pinched the bridge of her nose.
Frank cackled, “She actually just said Keaton would be happier eating out of the trash than dating that horrible girl.” I replied, “Umm… I’m right too, because at least then he could digest and move on. Imagine someone who makes you that miserable spending all their time with you… I would know that it’s awful… I’m just saying.”
Tristan growled, “Lisa is not like Trevor.” I said, “Uhh I was stalked by a lot of people who made me that miserable… alsoyou don’t have enough data to say that. You don’t know Lisa. She could easily hit Keaton. He’d heal and no one would know…. unless he told them… which as an Alpha… is unlikely… he’d just deal with it.” They all gaped at me.
Sierra sighed, “You don’t know Lisa ever hit Keaton.” I replied, “I mean… he’d have to let her… or she’d have to do it when he was sleeping… drunk… or not paying attention. He’s so much faster and better at fighting… but no I don’t know she did…. or she’d be dead…. just saying.”
Emmett said, “Mr. Alpha Man here and I have a question.” I saluted at him as Dylan ran over with a new drink. Dylan squealed, “My god this is amazing! Long live drunk MelAshley people.” He ran off, but not too far away.
I asked, “What’s Mr. Alpha Man’s question? Unless you're going to be rude to me again. Then I won’t answer…. and you get no more questions.” Emmett’s jaw dropped. Dylan shrieked in delight while Finn snorted as Emma cackled.
Keith said, “Ok. It’s official I like her, big brother.” Emmett said, “So do I. She’s just terrifying with a laptop at her disposal. I won’t be rude though. I’m simply wondering why you were watching my little brother and his, thank god, ex-girlfriend, from afar.”
I answered, “Oh, that’s easy. Have we not talked about this? I thought we did. Oh well… I can tell you again… or for the first time… it’s debatable. They snuck off to some cabin that Lisa complained about every… waking moment they were there.”
“The Ring caught onto them, so we were sniping off Hunters so Keaton and Lisa could have their… getaway. Though Keaton was stressed about something, and I seriously don’t think Lisa helped. I mean for his age what he pulled off was impressive.”
“He did this whole romantic gesture. There were twinkling lights in a field…. I thought it was really sweet. Not that I understood why he made that effort for her… since she’sannoying…. That’s not the point. The point was Lisa was awful about it. I think it really hurt his feelings.”
Emmett growled. I frowned, “You said you weren’t going to be rude! I answered your question… and you growl at me. You confuse me so.” Emmett explained, “I wasn’t growling about you. I was growling about her upsetting my little brother.”
Freya told me, “I can confirm that from Lightning.” Fair enough. I smiled saying, “Oh. Well, then that’s fine.” Keith asked, “Lisa complained about Keaton’s big setup?” I nodded, “A lot. Literally the whole time we were there. It was… so annoying… I called her annoying… me… which… I try not to say that since people always say I’m annoying.”
I admitted, “I contemplated shooting her in the shoulder multiple times. Valentina wanted to set her on fire. Lisa is lucky Angelique wasn’t with me. She does not like people like that, be they male or female. Plus…. I was pretty convinced that wasn’t Lisa’s real voice.”
“The probability is in the negative on that… so… it’s like she tries to make it shrill and whiney for some reason. My theory would be so Keaton would defend her as an Alpha thinking she couldn’t help it… because some people think that’s affection since they don’t understand Alpha bloods.” Keith snorted.
Emma agreed with me, “I’ve actually wondered the same myself about her voice.” I whispered, “Because you’re smart… and correct. It’s practically impossible for Lisa’s voice to sound like that, since there has never been any damage done to her vocal cords.”
Emmett asked, “Do I need to worry you’re going to shoot my pack member? I may not be her biggest fan, but I can’t let her get shot.” I laughed, “I kind of hear you saying you want me to shoot her… did anyone else hear that?”
Sierra groaned, “He didn’t say that.” I whispered, “It’s the subtext and his eyes… they are practically begging for someoneto kill her. Frank Daniels is so into it…. so is Former Luna Lexi… Luna Lexi… that’s to say.”
I concluded, “We should say that more often. Emma’s all for it… and Finn is jumping around… I don’t understand why people don’t think I pick up on subtext…. when you don’t think Emmett wants me to kill Lisa. He totally does.”
Frank said, “I have to go speak to Drake about how evil magic is because we never met Melanie before she was kidnapped.” I agreed, “So evil!” Emmett groaned, “Now, I’m actually worried you’re going shoot my pack member.”
I reasoned, “Because secretly, you want me to… you just don’t want to say that because you’re a good Alpha. It’s ok… I have a lot of practice in hearing what people aren’t saying. It happens a lot… and it does render the result of said person …. no longer breathing…usually.”
Sierra sighed, “Except you hear things like ‘kill this person’ and no one said that.” I replied, “Subtext… besides… they should just it. I’m right.” Emmett groaned, “Don’t shoot Lisa.” I snorted, “Did I say I was going to? That would be problematic now.”
Emma groaned, “Aww, why?” I answered, “Umm… I’m like… an official Luna. Plus, it would cause Xander problems and I wouldn’t do that. Before, no one would’ve known it was me. Though if I did it no one would ever… literally ever… prove it was me. I’m really good at killing without a trace.”
Sierra groaned while Frank Daniels cackled. I waved, “It’s superfluous though because when I talked to Keaton earlier, he seemed very over Ms. Shrill Voice. Plus.. Emmett’s very carefully saying don’t shot her… like I’m not planning on shooting to kill.”
Emma’s eyes narrowed. Keith immediately asked, “You talk to Keaton earlier? I haven’t seen him all day.” I said, “Then you weren’t looking very hard… because I found him and I wasn’t looking.” Finn said, “If I may interject here.”
I urged, “Go ahead.” Finn smiled asking, “Why do you want to talk to Lisa?” Dylan whispered, “What an excellent question my son, my Beta Grasshopper. Daddy is so proud of you right now.” We all looked at Dylan who hurried over and gave me another drink.
The man actually said, “Don’t mind the birthday cup bearer. By the way, everyone is welcome for the awesomeness that is happening right now. Also, none of us would care if that shrill woman died. They pretend, but we won’t care.” I knew that. Given I said Emmett was evasive and I outright said the words shoot to kill. Freya snorted, “Plus, they would never prove it was us.” I knew that too.
I answered Finn, “I want to talk to Lisa because she’s upsetting Keaton and trying to ruin his new relationship.” Keith paled, “There was a situation, but it’s going to get handled. We had some rogues…” I cut him off, “False. I would’ve known that.”
Keith frowned, “Except there were…” I cut him off, “Not rogues. I don’t know who they were, but they weren’t rogues. I track groups of them… ever since…well… ummm… stuff happened to a relative of mine.” I sniffled.
Dylan gasped, “Don’t make her cry!” Sierra linked me, “It wasn’t your fault your Aunt died.” I waved, “Anyway… there were not rogues in your area, so…Did you want me to find out who they were? I have spare time.” Sierra groaned, “You don’t.”
Emmett said, “I’m sorry. My brother is in a new relationship? With whom?” I said, “Oh no. You don’t know?” Freya said, “They do. He’s fishing for information.” I hummed out loud, “Oh… well, I can’t tell you…. then. I didn’t realize it was a secret. I’ll have to apologize to Keaton for spilling his beans.”
