I closed my eyes because Freya was angry. I was pissed off and I needed to be calmer. Mom linked, “You’re right about all of that. I was outside the room with your dad. Go at that she wolf no holds barred, Melanie Jane. Show her exactly who you are.” Freya shouted, “YES! PERMISSION!”

I didn’t need permission, but it was nice. I replied, “Thanks, mom.” Mom chuckled, “We are possessive of our mates too. It’s more than fair and your mate is a Fairy.” I knew that. I told Sierra and Abigail, “I’m going for a run.”

Sierra nodded, “I’d go with you, but what’s the point? You’d lap me in thirty seconds.” Abigail chuckled, “When you’re right, you’re right.” Despite both saying they weren’t coming, they were running behind me.

I wanted to shift, but with Cheyenne and her brother here I wasn’t going to risk it. Which annoyed Freya even more. Xander’s guard was running with us too. I slowed down and ran beside my friends after two miles.

I ended up in a clearing where Elise was. The woman who had always been like a sister to me looked me up and down. Elise eventually said, “Alright, come on. Let’s spar.” I fought her, Eric, Theo, and EJ. Buttercup jumped in too, and then Olivia did as well followed by Maverick.

By the time I made it back to the house it was dinner time. I watched from the tree line as Cheyenne convinced my mate to head to the gym. Sierra sighed, “Oh goodie. Your Xander couldn’t have saved us all and said no.”

I smirked replying, “I actually don’t agree. His acceptance makes me happy… because I can fightCheyyyyif she’s in the gym.” Maverick asked, “Did anyone know that someone’s name could sound so derisive coming out of someone’s mouth?” Several people snickered.

Sierra said, “There’s no way Chey will agree to fight you.” Abigail winced, “I want to say Si is wrong, but it’s not like yourreputation isn’t well known.” I laughed, “Oh yes there is.Cheyis delusional. She’s always been coddled and told she’s amazing. No one goes very hard in training with her.”

“Cheyennehas an inflated sense of self thinking she’s better than she is. Which is something she wants to prove to Xander. She’ll fight me…like all those dolts who thought I couldn’t fight because I was Black Path’s Female Lead Warrior.” Freya growled, “At which point, we will take her down.” Yes, we would. Easily.

Sierra shrugged, “Well, then it’s her funeral. The fact that she’s not dead and you’re in the same place is impressive.” I sighed, “I’m not going to kill her.” Freya snapped, “Yet.” Ok, yet… but she was Xander’s friend at the core of this. Other than being annoying, she really hadn’t done anything.

I walked into the gym and found that Haley was there with Eric. My mother in law seemed a little pale. I hoped the letter was helpful in some ways for the siblings. My siblings and Xander’s showed up. Dylan was munching on popcorn, his eyes shooting between me and the fight. While Lacy draped her arms around him.

I asked the group wryly, “Are their fights always so lackluster against each other? Or… is this for my benefit? Because I’m not impressed in the slightest.” Eric snorted while EJ choked on something. Elise clapped him on the back.

EJ replied, “They are fighting.” I turned towards him pointing out, “You and Xander have gone at it a million times harder than they are right now… in this very gym. Even when you’re doing a workout… so… this is just… I actually don’t have words for this.”

“That’s like a level two… if I’m being generous, and I’m not feeling that way right now… but I did say two… on my husband’s case…. because he IS mine… in case anyone forgot… but like this is me being generous, giving him a level two on his fightingability scale… and again that’s me…. his wife… being generous. It’s more like a high one.”

EJ looked at the ceiling while Theo and Max snickered. Micah laughed outright. Dylan squealed, “This is just too good. Don’t worry MelAshley, it’s LSGAP’s DNA that makes them not see such things. Mini Moody SGAP is just as blind to women wanting him.”

Lacy teased, “Dylan.” Dylan hummed, “Right you are, Lacy. It’s so odd because LSGAP used to know these things. Then he met my goddess and he lost that ability. I like to think it’s the universe's balance to the order of things. LGSAP gets so much, but his ability to tell when women or men want him disappeared. POOF.”

“Vanished into the night. To be fair, people used to be SO transparent about it. He never had to use pick up lines or anything. People just walked up to him and offered themselves to him. So, maybe he never had the ability to tell because people told him.”

“Sadly, we will never find out. Alas, my Beta brain swirls with more questions I cannot have answers to. It’s what this area does. It will drive you batty if you let it, but I’m here to help with all the tips for this general area.” Lacy chuckled and squeezed his shoulders.

Eric sighed, “Dylan, just stop.” Dylan smiled saying, “I’m just helping out your pup. I don’t much care about the woman down there trying to lose her life, but I do care about your son. Mini Moody has got his shovel out and is digging away at the dirt. I’m trying to use my shovel to put dirt back into the hole. You’re welcome.” Dylan winked at Eric who rolled his eyes.

Cheyenne was doing more of wiggling her butt and putting her chest up against my mate than she was fighting. Freya was so angry that my claws kept elongating. I had to focus every time to go back to normal.

Tristan gently said, “Ladybug.” I growled, “You would’ve killed anyone who did this with Everly, and NO ONE can say differently. So, there’s nothing to say… other than… kick her butt… when the time comes.” Tristan replied, “Kick her butt all the way back to Wyoming.” See? It wasn’t hard.

Gage groaned, “Oh fuck.” Phil said, “Someone doesn’t like us, Gage. We need to figure out who it is. Post haste.” A few people snickered, but I didn’t look back to see who. I linked my wolf, “I will handle this… I swear.” Freya snarled, “Fine.”

Cheyenne wiggled her butt against Xander again, like she was at a club dancing to music… not fighting. I snorted, “Funny how I fought a Male Lead Warrior and used the actual move… and not the ‘I’m dancing at a club’ one that she’s using on my mate…. one time and Xander lost it.”

Several people winced. Lacy said, “It does resemble more of a club dance move.” Dylan cooed, “Popcorn for you, my lovely mate.” Jason said, “I want to say Cheyenne just doesn’t know the right technique, but that’s not true.”

EJ offered, “Alexander has never danced with a woman in a club, so I feel like that’s helpful information to have.” I shot back, “He’s seen it. He’s been with you guys at a club… a lot.” EJ groaned, “I can’t reason with someone who is in all the cameras and knows all the things we do.”

Theo said, “To be fair, Alexander wasn’t paying attention.” I replied, “Mmmhmmm not unlike now… because he should know she’s doing the move incorrectly…. and correct her… as a teacher… so… there that.” EJ whispered, “It’s a losing battle, tap out.” It would be a good idea.

Dylan gasped, “BOOO! You’re not being any fun.” I noticed no one else was really in the gym. EJ or one of Xander’s brothers must have told everyone else to leave. Tristan whistled when they both said good fight.

I whispered, “GOOD FIGHT?! He said good fight?! SI!” Sierra said, “I didn’t say that. I wouldn’t dare. I have sanity on my side.” Then Cheyenne kissed my mate’s cheeks. I couldn’t hold back Freya’s growl. My wolf warned, “Do something or I will.”

Since it was raining now, she had done something. Dad linked, “Kick her ass.” I was gonna do that. I jumped over the railing and landed on the gym floor. Dylan said, “For those of you with Alpha blood, allow me to explain.” He paused, then said, “It’s about to go down. All the way to Chinatown.”

Eric sighed, “Dylan, please stop talking.” Dylan said, “Have no fear, LSGAP. I heard what you’re not saying. I’ll MC this fight for you, and everyone else here. I think your Mini Moody son will find it most helpful when he joins us.” Lacy snickered.
