But it’s slow, so, so slow, and when I try to move faster Kovan catches my knees and spreads them wider, reaching even deeper inside me.
“Will you take me, Tasa?” Kovan asks, fucking me slowly, driving me higher and higher as I writhe beneath him. “Take me, just as I am, like this—”
“All of you, Kovan,” I whisper, “all of me—”
“Yes—”
The angle shifts and I cry out as he strokes over a spot inside me no one has ever touched before, not like that, justlike that—
Kovan does it again, and again, until I am practically sobbing beneath him from the pleasure of it, my orgasm building and holding me on the exquisite edge.
“Is this what you want, Tasa?” Kovan asks.
I manage to open my eyes, meet his golden, glowing gaze.
All his resolve, focused on bringing me joy.
Maybe that’s not the sage, though.
That’s just him.
Reaching up, I grip his hair tightly, locking us together.
“You, Kovan,” I tell him fiercely. “I wantyou.”
And that, finally, is what tips him over the edge.
The sage’s perfect control shatters, and he drives into me.
I come in an instant, but still Kovan keeps going, the weight of him stroking into me through my aftershocks as I hold on, to him, to us, and then feeling him finally, finally let go inside of me.
Kovan shudders over me, and I reach up to push his hair away from his forehead and kiss him and kiss him and kiss him.
When we can finally breathe, he rolls off of me and I follow instinctively, tucking myself into his arms, which tighten around me just as instinctively.
“The tea,” Kovan finally manages. “And your bed, I made a mess, I should—”
“Stay,” I whisper. “You should stay.”
I hear him swallow, and my heart clenches.
He doesn’t know if he can stay.
He doesn’t say things he doesn’t mean.
But Kovan buries his face in the crook of my neck, breathing hard, and I think maybe I feel his tears as he says only, “Okay.”
I will take it.
I will take him.
However I can get him, even if I don’t deserve him.
That ismyresolve.
