By the Gods, what the fuck is going on here?

“We’ve been waiting a long time for you, Eleni. I had heard of your beauty, but I didn’t expect you would be so stunning. I can’t wait to make you the queen of my harem,” he said, fisting Vivian’s hair as he casually thrust into her mouth.

Another irrational wave of possessive rage exploded deep inside of me. I nearly shifted out of my ash spider form to go give him a piece of my mind. But the air shifted, and the Inquisitor—who he had called Eleni—took a step back in shock.

“You!” she whispered in disbelief.

The man tilted his head to the side with an air of genuine curiosity.

“You know me? Was I already on your mind, my beauty,” he said smugly before his face briefly constricted with pleasure.

He glanced down at Vivian with an approving expression as she continued to deep throat him in earnest.

“Only to punish you for cursing the Demon Wolf Ranael!” Eleni hissed.

It felt as if a bomb had exploded when I heard her words. This man was behind the curse?! It didn’t make sense. From thestart, it had always been clear that a woman did it. Could I have been misled this whole time?

The man burst out laughing. “You flatter me, my love. But I didn’t curse him. I merely drank his blood. Another had that honor.”

“Who?” Eleni demanded.

The man shrugged. “I don’t know, and honestly, I don’t care. I paid a pretty penny for a vial of his blood. He served his purpose to me.”

Helpless anger settled on her face. Why had she stopped trying to unravel the circle? Was it because she didn’t believe she could take on the two of them on her own?

Her gaze, still burning with hatred, shifted from the man to Vivian at his feet.

“How can you consort with him?” Eleni asked with a mix of shock, disgust, and something akin to betrayal. “Demon Wolves are the main protectors of our Order. Ranael saved many of our brothers and sisters over many centuries!”

Still sucking the man’s cock, Vivian glanced at Eleni. She pulled his dick out of her mouth, stroking it as she responded.

“Ranael has done nothing for me. But Elliot has,” she retorted before giving his shaft one long lick as if to reinforce her statement.

“What about your vows?!” Eleni exclaimed.

“Fuck my vows!” Vivian shouted angrily. “The Curia has done nothing for me either. Elliot is offering me the type of power I could only dream of otherwise.”

The air of pure disgust that descended over Eleni’s face pleased me tremendously. Whatever my thoughts about the members of her Order, she appeared to be among the good ones.

“And the other missing clerics? Are they traitors and defectors like you?”

Before Vivian could answer, Elliot shoved his cock down her throat, shutting her up while he tauntingly stared at Eleni.

“They’re not defectors but my beloved brides. I am offering them power, revenge, and the thrill of a life without restrictions, without rules, and where every pleasure is permitted and even promoted.”

Eleni shook her head with an air of pure confusion. “Why this charade? Why pretend to have gone missing during an exorcism if they just wanted to join your twisted little cult?”

The same fair question I was wondering about.

“For you, my pretty,” Elliot said with malicious glee. “I needed a thirteenth bride, a senior cleric. But you exceed all my expectations. Never did I think it would be you.”

“Me?” Eleni asked with a frown.

“You have no idea how far and wide your reputation has spread as the shining sword and shield of the Holy Office. Come to me my bride,” Elliot replied, extending a hand towards her.

For one horrible second, I feared she would comply. With a conviction I couldn’t explain, I knew that I would interfere—even at the cost of being slammed by the Covenant—if she went to him. But I already had figured out a workaround to destroy this foul male. I was merely biding my time to gather as much information as possible before revealing my presence

“Fuck you,” Eleni hissed. “I would kill you all, but these two idiots consented to be defiled by the likes of you. Consider yourselves excommunicated. As for you, Elliot, you are not possessed, contrary to what your so-called parents pretended. But I can clearly see that you have enhanced yourself through questionable arcane methods.”
