When he’s had enough of letting me take charge, he scoops me up and sits me on his lap.“Dance on the end of my cock, kitten.”He doesn’t need to tell me twice. My hips move on their own accord, as he thrusts upward and guides my hips up and down, hitting that special little spot every time that we move.“I’m going to come.”

“Ask me if you can come, kitten?”

I’m not going to last, and we both know it.“Ask me,” he growls, hitting that spot, gliding against my front wall and making me weak with the need to release.“Let me come, baby?”I ask.

Massimo groans.“Fucking you is the best ride in the world.Come all over me, kitten.”

The waves come one after another, causing white lightening to burst in streaks behind my eyes but Massimo has taken charge, and one time is not enough for him.He drives deep, relentless in his desire to take me over the edge again, knowing exactly how sensitive I am, and exactly where to hit every single damn time. And this round, he tells me exactly when to come knowing I’m already there. My legs shake, trembling, shattered to pieces as he sends rope after rope of his seed deep inside of me.

His arms hold me in place, stroking the skin of my back as my forehead rests against his. When our breathing finally returns to normal, he covers us with a throw from the back of the sofa.“I love you,” I tell him softly, stroking his powerful chest.“Now that is exactly what I needed.”

Massimo smiles, something I haven’t seen in a while.I stroke his face, my finger tracing those lips that know exactly how to turn me on.He pulls me close.“I love you too, Sophia. So fucking much.”

I kiss his lips gently.“How are you doing?Did you see your mom tonight?”

His eyes dance with mischief.“In fact, I did. She’s feeling much better, stronger every day, and she was very complimentary of you.”

It surprises me that I was even part of their conversation.“Your mother was always nice to me.I’m so glad she’s feeling better.I’m surprised she was talking about me.”

Massimo pushes a piece of hair that’s fallen over my eyes behind my ear.“Actually, both she and my father have had good things to say about you.Not that it would make a difference in the world, but Dad said he’ll be clearing things with the elders over in Italy for us to have a proper wedding. He was supportive after all that you did for the family, especially what you did to save my life and my mother’s.”

My mouth gapes as I look down at him while he smiles up at me.“You can’t just drop a bombshell like that nonchalantly, especially after such an emotional day.”The magnitude of what he just said hits me so hard I almost can’t breathe.“Seriously, they are okay with us being married, for real, and not for show?”I whisper.

His hand snakes around my nape and draws me closer.“No kitten. They are more than okay with us getting married. They are both encouraging it.A real wedding, with all the family, all the bells and whistles with you in a long pretty wedding dress that falls to the floor. You are going to be mine, and this time, I want all the world to see and hear it when you say I do.Tell me you’ll marry me, kitten.”

This man, he knows exactly what I need at exactly the right time.To be his, for good, for everyone to see.To be part of the family, officially, and to love him for all time.

Massimo

Sophia traces a finger down the side of my face, a light still in her eyes from our postcoital bliss. Her voice is soft, like an angel giving me one chance at redeeming my filthy life.“You will be a good husband, will make good on your promises and our families will prosper in the future.I have one additional request and then I will marry you, Massimo.”

My chest beats harder than it ever has before.A pivotal moment, and then she will be mine for eternity.I wonder in a passing second if this is how my father, king of all kings felt when he knew Mother was the one.I need her to say one word, yes, and I will protect her and shield her from all the sins of the underworld. She will be my queen to treasure while sullying her with every sin I know.“Anything, kitten.”

Her eyes shine with emotion, a tender resolve settling over her features.“Our children will never know our real story. They will grow up knowing that their parents met, were insanely attracted to each other, in time fell in love, and would do anything for them and the life we will ultimately defend.Promise me, Massimo, and then I will say I do.”

I lean down and kiss her lips, the lips that I plan to cherish every fucking day of my life.“I promise, Sophia. Our children will never know the story of how the Cassone princess came to be the Roselli queen.”

Sophia

Never in my wildest dreams would I have ever thought that every single member of the Roselli family would attend a Cassone funeral, not to gloat, but to pay respects. Not because of any sense of loyalty to my father, but as a sign of respect to me for what I did for their family and what I mean to Massimo.

Anna hasn’t left my side, dead set on coming even though the look in her eyes tells me she’s paying a heavy price for being out and in the public. The only thing that makes me feel better is that the Roselli soldiers have absolutely surrounded the church and are armed with autos that will shred even the most armor resistant of cars.We are safe because we are prepared and Massimo has ensured that we can lay my father to rest without risk of harm.

Anna spots the sign to the ladies’ room.“Excuse me for just a moment,” she says quietly.Leandro is talking with Gino, Renato, Tristano, and a woman with long dark hair I’ve never seen before as we step inside the vast church, but she has their eyes. She is without a doubt a Roselli.

“Is that your sister?”I ask Massimo, remembering pictures in the great room, but of a younger version of the woman in front of me.

His eyes drift to his family and he smiles.“Our baby sister arrived home late last night. We do everything we can to keep her name out of the spotlight or from showing up anywhere at all. We’ve had her safely at boarding school but now that she’s turned twenty-one, she has this thing called free will.Annabelle said she wanted to meet you and didn’t want to miss something that was so important to you and the rest of the family. She’s anxious to meet you, kitten, and is planning to stay through next week and attend our wedding.”

My heart swells with the outpouring of love from a family I was raised to hate. It’s more than overwhelming but in the best of ways.I keep my eye on the door, waiting until Anna comes out and it’s not until she’s beside me again that my protective instincts relax. We’re going to get through this, it’s just going to take time, and having the love of everyone around us will help. But she hasn’t had a chance to get to know Massimo or them the way that I have, and her fight or flight impulses are understandably high.I squeeze her hand.“It’s okay,” I mouth, as Massimo guides us to join his family.

He introduces everyone and not one of his family are rude to either of us in any way.I hug his sister after greeting his brothers.“Thank you so much for coming, Annabelle.I know it was a long trip.It means a lot to me and my sister that you came all that way.”

She gives us both a genuine smile, her red lips vibrant as she shows a set of bright white teeth.“You saved my brother and worked tirelessly on my mother when she was almost dead.I would do anything for you,” she says, hugging me tightly.“Anna, nice to meet you too but I’m sorry it has to be under such a sad circumstance.I’m so very sorry about everything that has happened and for the loss of your father.”
