The warm, soft glow of the sun bathed the room, stirring me awake.

We’d done it.

After gathering all of the ingredients for the potion and crafting the weapon itself that I would use to kill Matthieu, the spirits filled my heart with a sense of success.

My eyes cracked open, and I noticed that our bed was covered in an enchanting array of moon flowers. The ethereal blossoms emitted a gentle, luminous radiance, filling the room with an otherworldly beauty.

It reminded me of the night in the gazebo with Bastian, and my heart fluttered with the romantic memory.

I sat up, taking in the sweet scene as a sense of wonder and excitement filled me. It was the most genuine and creative gesture I’deverwoken up to before. I loved everything about it.

Five silhouettes stood at the foot of the bed, eagerly watching me. Their excitement for my reaction flooded the bond.

“Good morning, guys. This is anamazingway to wake up.” I felt a big smile pulling at the corner of my lips.

“It would’ve been even better with me between your legs, goddess.” Jasper winked, but the guys rolled their eyes.

“We couldn’t decide onwhowould go between your legs,” Casper muttered, crossing his arms as he pouted. “We could’ve just taken turns. There are five of us. We could circulate.”

“Circulating makes sense.” Jasper nodded in agreement.

“Circulating how?” I asked, blinking the sleepiness from my eyes as desire snaked through me instead.

“Good morning, love,” Bastian greeted me quickly to interrupt the conversation. His cheeks were as pink as his eyes. “The moon flowers are a gift from me.”

“I love them,” I assured him with a soft smile. “I immediately knew they were from you and why.”

“The flowers will always remind me of what we shared that night,” he murmured, and my smile grew.

“The moon flowers’ glow pales in comparison to your beauty, goddess.” Jasper bounced on the balls of his feet with the cheesiest smile.

“Well, thank you.” I giggled.

“We have afullday planned for us, sunshine. You are going to love every bit of it.” Casper grinned. “Though, it absolutelycouldinvolve circulating between your legs.”

Heat streaked through my body, and I bit down on my lower lip.

“We willfinallyhave a day of normalcy, muse,” Silas vowed, dipping his head in a bow to me before shooting daggers at the twins. “We will be doing whatever you deem appropriate.”

“And if that is us, then we are all in.” Jasper smirked wickedly back at Silas.

“And I’ve prepared sandwiches and peaches for a picnic.” Aimon’s green eyes twinkled with excitement. “Gotta make sure mylove bugis filled with the best food I can make for her.”

“Love bug,” Casper chuckled with a teasing undertone.

Aimon shoved his elbow into Casper’s side. “Don’t be a dick.”

“I think it’s cute.” Happiness surged through me at their thoughtfulness. I tried to push up off the bed, but a heaviness swept through my limbs. I sucked in a deep breath to steady myself, and the feeling disappeared. I blinked a few more times before shaking my head. “What are we doing first?”

“There’s a waterfall just outside of the Lethal Forest that we wanted to take you to,” Casper murmured, eyeing me carefully like the rest of them. “It’s a special place for all of us. We used to go there to decompress after missions.”

I was glad they had each other during their time working for the Lethium Empire. I hated the thought of them facing everything alone. Though they had dealt with the loss of their families alone, at least they had been able to find each other shortly after.

My chest swelled with gratitude. Even though we were preparing for war with Matthieu, they never let me forget the importance of taking care of myself. It was an odd feeling, but a very welcomed one.

“Sounds really nice andnormal.” My gaze flickered over each of their smiles. “Thank you.” I swung my legs out of bed and stepped onto the cool stone floor.

The familiar sensation of rough rock against my feet provided a sense of grounding that I needed after the excitement of last night. A deep breath filled my lungs, the earthy scent of the room mingling with the delicate fragrance of the moon flowers.
