A surge of familiar magical warmth spread over me as Jas's darkness fled our forms, leaving us inside of my--no,our--home.
I inhaled the familiar scent and almost cried in relief. Ihatedbeing away from this cottage. It took me so long to make myself a home, and I'd grown incredibly attached to the one I had created. But I also knew it was time for a change.
"Ready, Aimon?" I glanced toward him.
He furrowed his brows before a cute flicker of understanding came across his face. "Renovations?"
"Yes." I smiled, reaching out and lacing our fingers together as the rest of the guys stepped back to give us space. "I love being able to conjure and build with earth."
"Me too, bug. But I admit, I'd never have thought of doing all this," he murmured. "You always do good in everything."
"Are you sure you're okay with it, love?" Bastian asked. "I know this is your space, and I don't want you to feel pressured to make room for us."
My heart fluttered, and I bit down on my smile. "I'm sure. I want to share a home with you...all of you."
"Bless, you're fucking adorable, sunshine." Casper grinned, and his golden eyes seemed to glow in excitement.
Blushing furiously, I squeezed Aimon's hand. "Robust earth that holds so hard, I call upon your element, to bring me stability and guard. Spirits of Hexarium bless."
He chanted the spell beside me, and the entire cottage shifted to my will as Aimon lent me a vast portion of his earth magic.
My mind buzzed with magic as I focused on moving and expanding my cottage.
The cream walls shelved with books and trinkets pushed outward. The scent of freshly conjured wood filled the air as I built onto my home. Furniture was manipulated around once I tripled the size of the rooms and added on an extra one for the guys to have their own space.
The groaning and creaking of timber hit my ears as I pushed my powers further. My magic felt slippery as I formed a new space, like taking a step on a wet floor.
I took extra care to extend the bed, quadrupling the size of it to make it big enough for the six of us to sleep comfortably--plus room for my cats if they wanted to lay on it with us.
My head rushed as I swayed on my feet. "There. Perfect."
Aimon let go of my hand, and his large arms cradled me, lifting me up. He walked me over to the sofa that I'd also expanded from three seats to seven, and he laid me down on it. "You need to rest, bug. That was amazing. You're always amazing. But you need to take care of yourself after exerting so much power. That would've taken a regular earth mage a week at least."
The soft cushions were so fluffy they threatened to swallow me whole, and my tight muscles relaxed in an instant. "Mhm, thanks, Aimon."
Reaching out my fingertips, fire magic trickled forth, lighting the hearth and casting a flickering glow within the room. "There's a new room next to mine. I didn't conjure any furniture, but consider it the five of yours. Do whatever you want with it."
I kept the archway to my room, but my bedroom was now bigger with the huge bed in it. The extra room I'd built was now adjacent to mine with its own archway from the living room. I had even split the living room and the kitchen into two separate rooms, but I kept the open concept of it.
I genuinely loved the changes.
Karma meowed as she leapt from my rune, rushing toward the hearth and playing in the fire with the cutest moves.
The rest of the cats slowly left their runes and started to wander the cottage, unsure of the changes I'd made. I hoped they'd love it the same way they had loved our home for years. It would always be theirs, no matter what I did differently.
"Wow," Bastian breathed the word as he stared at the large oak table over to the side of the room where he had a lot more space for brewing. The cauldron still sat on an iron tripod, and the herbs and potions still lay in chaotic organization around it. "What you just did was amazing."
"Thank you for the room," Silas murmured, his beautiful blue gaze locked on mine. "I do think we should all sleep in the same bed for now. Not only because you exerted a lot of energy creating it but because of the assassins coming at us all the time."
"Good point, Silas," Jasper chuckled. "Plus, it'll be much easier to fuck her with her next to us all the time."
"Very good point, brother." Casper smirked wickedly.
Heat licked up my spine, and I held back my needy whimper. I so very much wanted them. The idea of having them in the bed made my legs shake.
"Or we could let Fawn call her adventurer while I cook, and Bastian can start on the antidote," Aimon cut in with an amused expression as he started toward the kitchen. "Damn, bug. You outdid yourself with this renovation."
"Thanks for lending me some of your power to do it," I told him before pushing myself up on the sofa and narrowing my gaze on the twins as they plopped down on either side of me with matching smirks. "You two, don't antagonize him. Declan's injured, so I'm sure he's going to be fragile."
