"I happen to agree with Bastian." Silas sat down on the edge of the bed while Bastian laid on the other side of me.
"Did you and Bastian have a good night?" Aimon asked as he crawled up the bed to lay on the other side of Bastian.
"Of course they did." Casper threw himself down next to Jasper with a smirk. "We could feel how good it was through the bond."
I let out a breathy laugh. "That's uncomfortable."
"It's not, sunshine." Cas held his hand up, playing with a small ball of light in his palm. "We were just happy you were happy."
"We almost intervened when we felt Bastian's panic spike, but we could feel your control of the situation," Silas brought up.
"We were attacked by another assassin," I admitted, and the guys tensed.
"The assassin was someone that was a large part of killing my parents. He got away when I went after his clan," Bastian added with a shaky breath. "But we faced him and killed him. I feel like I got closure I didn't know I needed."
"Was the closure anything to do with that wicked potion you threw at that dragon?" Cas asked.
"Yes, actually," Bastian admitted. "I don't have that paralyzing fear inside of me when I think about or see fire anymore. I'll probably always be cautious of it, though."
"I'm glad you got closure," Silas told him, and Bastian smiled.
"How was that vibrating rune?" Jasper asked, and my cheeks heated.
"It was awesome," I blurted.
"Awesome? How so?Please, go into detail," Cas teased.
I felt the truth serum stirring inside me, and the words came out before I could stop them. "It was one of the most incredible feelings I've felt in a really long time, and it just confirmed for me that I'm in love with Bastian."
The guys froze, and everyone went silent.
Bastian looked at me with a mixture of surprise and love. "I love you," he stated without hesitation, and my heart swelled.
"You're telling me that Bastian told you he loved you before I did?" Jasper muttered, shaking his head, but his hand never stopped gliding up and down my back.
Casper frowned. "I'm sorry, sunshine. I didn't even think about saying how I felt about you. I figured it was just common knowledge."
"For what it's worth, I've fallen in love with both of you." I glanced back and forth at the twins before sliding my gaze toward Aimon. "And Aimon."
The love from all four of them flooded the bond.
"I've been in love with you, bug. Ever since you first attempted to break my hex." Aimon's voice was soft, and his gaze made my body burn with heat.
"I've been in love with you since I first saw you," Jas rasped, a wisp of darkness tickling the nape of my neck.
A wisp of light ran up and down my cheek as Cas sat up on the bed, staring directly into my eyes. "I told you I wanted you forever, sunshine. I know it might not make much sense to you since my twin and I decided the moment we laid eyes on you. But when I tell you I'mobsessedwith you, I mean more than that. I'm utterly in love with you. My very spiritburnswith light for you."
"I love you all so much it hurts. I've never felt like this before, even before my curse..." I stared at the men surrounding me in the bed, but my gaze snagged on the purple-haired water and ink mage awkwardly, trying not to make eye contact. "And I don'thateyou, Silas." I looked over at him.
Silas let out a brash chuckle, finally meeting my gaze. "I don't hate you either, muse. In fact, I'm actually starting to like you."
I yawned, laying my cheek back on my pillow. "You know... I actually kind of like you a lot."
My smile widened, and a rush of excitement spread through me like never before. I bit down on my bottom lip, trying to contain the happiness surging through me, when a familiar hum hit the back of my head.
I pushed up off the bed and sat up before Ash appeared in front of me. "What's going on?" I asked, my heart slamming against my rib cage at the sudden call.
"It's bad," she stated gravely, and I noticed the redness around the rims of her eyes. "Declan's entire party was just wiped out, and he's not doing good."
