His wings exploded from his back, and he grinned. “Done.”
“How do we seal the contract?”
He started toward me, his bare feet thudding against the cold ground. “Fae seal mate contracts by making love. Can you handle that?”
Heat seared across my cheeks as I nodded. “I can handle that.”
He looped his thumbs in his waistband and pulled down. His erection was hard, and while he wasn’t as thick as Rowan’s, he was big enough to make me ache in anticipation.
Any thoughts of danger in the Bestial Forest had left my mind. Thorn would keep us safe.
Reaching out, he cupped my cheek and stroked it with his thumb. “I’ve loved you since the day I met you.”
Surprise riddled through me, and Thorn swallowed my gasps as he descended on me in kisses that made my head spin.
My arms wound around his neck, and his hands lifted me by my hips as I hooked my legs around his waist. He flew us against a tree with one flap of his wings.
His eyes searched mine for permission, and I nodded.
My back dug into the bark as he thrust into me in one swift buck of his hips.
“Ah,” I moaned, and his forehead rested against mine.
“Are you okay?” Concern was thick in his voice but so was the desire.
Thorn cooled me from the inside and filled me completely, and the back of my right hand started to tingle as I adjusted to him. “I’m better than okay.”
His fingers bit into my hips as he held me up, and he pulled himself almost all the way out before sliding back in. He kept the slow pace, and a burning sensation started to rise within me, and I whimpered.
“Do you want me to go harder?”
I gripped his shoulders and pulled myself up to give him a better angle and nodded. “Please.”
He obliged me, and his thrusts became harder. Ice spread over my skin, keeping my body cool as the burn inside me built up.
Magic and pleasure vibrated through my bones, and I cried out.
My canines grew, and I clamped my mouth over his collarbone. My teeth sunk into the cold skin, and his blood coated my mouth as I sealed my mate mark in his flesh.
He sucked in a sharp breath before a low moan left his lips. “Wren, you’re everything to me.”
I pulled my teeth out just as my body convulsed, and heightened pleasure tore through my soul and rippled through him.
He tensed along with me, sending a blast of cold through the air, and the tingling in my hand stopped.
We stayed against the tree, catching our breaths for a moment before he slid out of me and helped me down.
“The mark on your hand is our contract. It’s your mate mark from me.” He picked up my hand and pressed a kiss to the navy-colored fairy wings magically embedded in my skin like a tattoo.
My cheeks ached from smiling, and I reached up to touch my mark on his collarbone. “We’re officially mated.”
The matebond was officially in place on both ends, and my soul was singing in joy.
“Are you ready to tell Rowan?” Thorn asked.
“I already know,” Rowan said, and I spun around to see him leaning against a tree with his arms crossed, desire swirling deep in the flames of his irises. “I could feel our matebond expanding.”
Thorn nodded. “I can feel your bond with her too. Also, I owe you an apology. I shouldn’t have blamed you for Wren’s injury.”
