"What're you talking about?"

"I drank from you. I drank from the mother of demons, King Zelek's precious daughter. Lilith. It's no wonder I've been able to regenerate and gain even more powers from feasting on new-bloods." His voice was slithery, creepy, and rolled off me like a slug.

Hot tears burned my eyes, rolling down my cheeks. "Your plan is to drain my blood so you can be stronger and overthrow Hell."

His mirth came out like nails on a chalkboard, and I cringed. I couldn't tear my eyes off Blaise. His already pale skin looked snow white, and his thick eyelashes brushed the tops of his cheeks. Black blood was still wet on his lips and dribbled down his chin.

"He's gone, Lilith," Titan shouted. "Get the fuck up and fight!"

Gone...no. Blaise can’t be gone.

"We can't lose you too!" Kai cried out, obliterating yet another abandoned with tears drenching his face. He was still fighting even with the grief of what Viktor had done to Blaise.

"With your blood, I'll be powerful enough to kill all four kings of Hell!" Viktor stretched his arms out wide.

"Shut up." Venom dripped from my voice as I glared up at him through my tears. "Do you want to see how fast you can regenerate before I destroy all of your limbs and obliterate you?"

"You say you will, but you failed before. Besides, how much longer until I kill another one of your...lovers?" His smile was wide, and he flashed his sharp teeth at me.

I glanced down at Blaise’s body, and pain whirled through, suffocating me like a tornado. I could sense his soul there, barely. If I could just obliterate the threat...

Forcing myself back up on wobbly legs, I growled at Viktor. "You won't fucking touch them."

Viktor lunged for me, and I stepped out of the way in time for my fingertips to graze his shoulder. The spark of death danced in my hands, hot and craving vengeance for Blaise.

A strangled cry that sounded a lot like a wounded animal left Viktor’s mouth as his flesh deteriorated into gray ash, sprinkling on the floor from his shoulder down to his hand. He snarled at me as he stumbled back a few steps. Abandoned crossed in front of him, almost as if they were shielding him from me. They acted as a barrier, not moving in to attack.

My throat tightened as I watched his arm regenerate before my fucking eyes. His arm emerged from the gaping wound that was left of his shoulder, and the tendons and muscles twisted out before his rotting flesh covered it. Viktor was practically decomposing as it was, and regeneration made little sense for him. Nobody with regeneration powers had been able to regenerate from my destruction magic.

Nausea swirled in my stomach. Blood magic made the impossible possible, and that was fucking dangerous.

Viktor’s teeth flashed as his lips curled in a sinister smile. “You should’ve aimed for my face.”

I squeezed my fists together, and my nails bit into my palms. “I’m not going to kill you. You’re going to be obliterated.”

“I’ll do away with you before you or your precious harem get the chance to stop me, and then Hell will finally bemine.” He readied his stance to come at me again, and the abandoned parted for him.

As soon as Viktor lifted his foot off the ground, Aziel rammed into him from the right and knocked him into the nearest wall. "Don't fucking touch her."

The guys and demons had gotten rid of most of the abandoned. There were only a couple of green-eyed ones left. Kai and Thaddeus were finishing them off as Titan and more demons helped fend off Viktor.

"Where the fuck is the Order?" Kai asked.

"I don't know!" Thaddeus huffed.

"We're here!" Carmilla shouted, running into the room from the open door.

Relief rippled through the room as she rushed toward me, but I couldn’t feel anything but soul crushing pain.

"What happened to Blaise?"

Isn’t it fucking obvious?"Where's Gabriel?"

An angel was Blaise’s only hope, and I didn't care what I had to do. I needed Gabriel’s help. I'd fucking beg him for help if I had to.

"He's on his way. There were a ton of abandoned in our facility. They ambushed us," she told us, but there wasn't much panic in her voice. It wasn’t like the Order to split up either. From what I remembered, they worked as a team. Alarms rang out in my head, but grief clouded any rationalizing I was capable of.

Viktor caught my gaze and smirked. I blinked, and his face was in front of mine as he teleported over. A small prick stung my neck, and I'd turned in time to see Carmilla pull a needle out of my skin from an empty syringe.
