I bee-lined into the fight, grabbing Ayla’s thin locks of hair and flung the bitch into a nearby tree. Her bones cracked under the impact, and I smirked as she slumped to the ground.

Kai fought against three of Viktor’s lackeys with skilled movements. As fucking hot as it was to watch him hold his own, we had to get Thaddeus home and feed him blood to kickstart the healing process.

I zipped toward the fight and grabbed one of the vampires approaching Kai by the face. His exposed fangs sliced into my palm causing it to tingle.

Die.

His entire body hardened, skin cracking as he crumbled into ash—the gray residue scattering into the breeze.

I wiggled my fingers in front of my face. It’d been years since I’ve done that.

Setting my sights on the other two lackeys who had frozen along with both Kai in astonishment and fear alike. I moved forward, pushing my palms into both of their faces, and reduced them to ash before zeroing in on Ayla, the treacherous bitch.

Kai stepped forward. “Lilith?”

“Don’t interrupt her.” Aziel grabbed him back by the arm. “My beloved, recharge your energy.”

Aziel was the demon I’d loved for centuries, and I’d remembered everything. The look in his eyes told me he knew that, and he held a sadness in them I knew wouldn’t easily be remedied.

“You psychotic bitch!” Ayla sputtered, scooting back into a tree as she stared up at me with wide eyes. “What the fuck are you?”

“I’ve already told you.” I walked over, squatting down in front of her. “I’m Lilith.”

Her chin quivered as I curled my fingers around it, tilting her head up toward me. She was rooted to the spot as terror shone in her eyes. I brought my lips close to hers and sucked the sad excuse of life essence out of her. It was stale, dark, and proof enough that she deserved whatever awaited her in Hell.

Her body fell to the ground as I let her go and stood back up.

I turned to my guys and scanned the clearing. “Viktor got away.”

“We know,” Thaddeus said with one arm draped over Blaise’s shoulder to stay standing. The bite wound on his neck had finally started healing.

I scowled.

Viktor’s a sick fuck.

“Are you okay?” I walked over to him, putting my hand on his cheek.

He nodded, rough stubble rubbing against the softness of my hand. “I’m more bloody concerned about you.”

Blaise grunted in agreement along with Kai. My three vampires stared at me with a side of caution and a bit of something else I couldn’t decipher.

Aziel dropped to his knees in front of me, much like when he revealed himself to me the first time. “Now that your memories have returned, I am willing to accept punishment.”

My heart sank at his defeated form. I put my finger under his chin and lifted him back to his feet. “Don’t kneel to me. We’re equals. What happened wasn’t your fault.”

His eyes glistened with unshed tears as he set his jaw.

“I beg to differ,” a strong voice proclaimed from behind me.

I turned toward the swimming hole to see a man walking out of it with soft red eyes, black hair, and his favorite gray crown atop his head.

“Lilith.” His arms spread wide in welcome. “Hell hasn’t been the same without you.”

“That’s because I make Hell fun.” I walked forward and wrapped my arms around him.

He held onto me tightly before we untangled from each other and stepped back. The smell of sulfur came off him in waves, but that was to be expected since he was one of the Kings of Hell.

“King Zelek.” Aziel bowed his head as all three vampires dropped to a knee.
