“That’s fucking awesome.” I was mesmerized by the flames, unable to look away until he extinguished them.

“Thank you. It takes thinking of punishment to summon them.” He stepped closer. “Your mind control is on par with hers.”

My brows knitted together. “Whose?”

He shook his head. “I’m sorry. Back to the task at hand. Show us the…emotional manipulation.”

“All of you?” I shifted my gaze toward the table of them all.

They nodded as Titan went to take his seat.

“All of the emotions? Or just one?”

“We would like a demonstration of all the ones you can do,” Selene told me.

“So far, I know I can push pride, anger, jealousy, lust, and laziness on people.”

They stiffened at that information and nodded.

Gabriel’s jaw ticked as his icy gaze rested on me. “Go on then.”

“I’ll show you pride first.” I clasped my hands together in front of me and closed my eyes to think about pride and embody it.

Once I felt pride swirling in my chest, I pushed it out to the Order.

I opened my eyes. “Did you feel it?”

Each one besides Gabriel nodded. He was clenching his teeth so hard, I swore I heard one crack.

“Very well done,” Titan said with a glowing smile.

I like him best.

I did the same thing with the rest of the emotions, and after I hit them with lust, they begged me to take it away. I sucked it back in with more control than I’d ever had before.

“You don’t have any idea what that power is, do you?” Gabriel asked me, his smooth voice layering over me like fucking cement.

“Uh…” I threw my hands up in the air. “Emotional manipulation.”

“Close.” He punched the brim of his nose. I clearly irritate the fuck out of him, but the feeling was mutual. “You pass the second trial.”

“Draven Coven, get back behind us.” Carmilla waved behind her.

The guys begrudgingly did as they were told and trudged behind the table. The fae threw up a wind box that contained them.

“What’re you doing?” I eyed the Order.

“Preventing them from interfering,” Kalyke said in a bored tone. “Bring in the red-eyed abandoned, Carmilla.”

She got up and left the room.

My heart thumped, echoing in my head. “What the fuck did you just say? I can’t beat it without the obliteration power.”

“You won’t need it yet.” Gabriel waved off my concern with the flick of his wrist. “I want to see how you fare against an attack of the mind and body. Don’t hold back. If you do, you’ll be obliterated.”

“How long do I have to last?”

“Until we’re satisfied you could beat it with the obliteration power,” Selene answered.
