His hand slid upward, caressing my forearm. “Each of your senses are heightened. My personal favorite is touch.” His eyes lurked on the goosebumps he’d caused as my heart pumped so loudly it made me delirious.

Blaise snorted beside me, the noise resonating in my eardrum. “Touch can be great, but so can taste and smell.”

I ran my tongue over the roof of my mouth. I could still taste the A positive blood, and I pushed back the impending hunger as I took a whiff of the air.

Their scents mixed together deliciously. I’d never thought soot and forest went well together until I’d smelled them together.

Fucking snap out of it, Lilith. You’ve been around them for two whole hours.

I cleared my throat. “Can I make some iced coffee?”

Kai withdrew his hand, and I let out a whimper from the lack of touch. He chuckled. “We have everything you need. Would you like me to join you?”

I could’ve lost myself in his baby blues, so I nodded.

Blaise stood with us. “I’m going to go find Thaddeus. If you need any of us, just say our name. We’ll hear you.”

“The last time a guy told me to say his name, what followed was anticlimactic,” I quipped.

Corbin was cute. He had light brown hair and beautiful hazel eyes with the cutest round face. Typical psychologist, actually. Not that it was a bad thing, but for someone who analyzed everything, he missed the basis on how to handle a clit.

But they didn’t need to know that.

Blaise’s eyes darkened, and he stepped into my personal space as his gaze flickered toward my lips. “Poppy, if I told you to say my name, what followed would be fucking ecstasy.”

My lips parted as desire trickled low. I lusted hard after these guys, obviously, but I’d never been so blunt around men and have them return the sentiment. It was a serious turn-on.

And just like that, he was gone. The air still flowed from his quick movements.

“I’d like to discover all the ways I could make you moan my name.” The words fell from his lips with intent as Kai led me back to the kitchen.

Another rush of heat rushed through me, and I walked with unsteady legs as I started a pot of coffee. “Can you guarantee that?”

“Interested?” He chuckled, eyes following my every movement as I busied myself with snooping through cabinets and learning what they kept in each place until I found the glasses.

“When you have a few years of lame sex, you get curious.” I filled a couple of glasses to the brim with ice cubes.

“Lame sex?” His brow rose. “Even when you're immortal, there's no time for that.”

“There’s only so much a girl can do.” I grabbed the milk from the fridge, poured it over the ice a fourth of the way, and scooped some sugar over it. I slipped a quick glance at the way his shirt clung to his pecs.

He smirked. “If you ever want a night of mindblowing sex, I’m very generous.”

“I’d love to see if that’s true,” I murmured, grabbing the coffee pot and pouring it over the milky ice.

Corbin’s sweet face popped in my mind, and guilt riddled me.

He may have been boring, but he wasn’t a bad guy. He used to insist on picking me up from work to make sure I made it safely home. He even put up with Jax when the sneaky cat kept swatting his arm raw every time he got near me.

I wonder what he's doing now. Are we even technically still together? Probably not. I wasn’t even human anymore.

“You really need to get creamer for coffee.” I handed him his glass filled with the cold, creamy goodness.

He took the glass with a perplexed look on his face as if he were studying me. “You actually want me to put that in my mouth?”

I bit back a suggestive comment. “You're going to learn that I have great taste soon enough.”

“We usually drink it black.” He stared at his drink.
