“Is it really?” I heard her murmur interestedly, to a rumbling growl that had her laughter tinkling.
Lifting the phone, I snorted, watching Penny trying to peel Ben’s hand off her face as she tried to examine Segrid’s man chest.
“You want to look at a chest, you can look at mine,” her husband muttered.
“Bennard Ochulles, don’t you dare!” Penny gasped as Ben whipped off his shirt and chucked it at her. Penny glared up at him as he picked her up, ignoring her sputters as she fought the shirt over her head off, and plopped her down into his lap.
“I’m not looking,” I murmured through the side of my mouth, glancing at my Troll, whose chest began to rumble with throaty laughter.
“She lies,” he told Ben and Penny, who stopped bickering to stare at us, “yet it amuses me,” my beloved went on.
Penny’s hands slowly lifted, the ultrasound in her fingers along with it, and she brought her hands over Ben’s impressive pecs. “He’s mine,” she blurted suddenly, to Seg and my amusement.
“Oh my god, twins?!” I burst out, with one good look at baby A and baby B on her scan. “Pen, you’re having twins?!”
“Yeah.” Pen’s scowl turned into a grin. “Pretty neat, right?” Her grey eyes twinkled as she snuggled closer to Ben. “It’s so exciting! I think I might pee a little.”
“No peeing.” Ben grimaced a little, glancing down at his little wife. “I just changed into these pants.”
“Babe,” she said simply, pursing her lips to roll her eyes at him. Giving me a look, she missed the shit eating grin on her husband’s face.
“Put your shirt on, One-eye, and we will meet you for celebrating!” Segrid boomed out.
“Yessss!” Penny hopped up and started dancing around. Grabbing Ben’s shirt, she danced behind him, rolling the shirt up to smack his back with it, until he turned, a growl in his throat, and popped up to chase after her.
Penny squealed, an Oh Shit look on her face, waved bye to us, shouting over her shoulder, promising to text directions to their house as she took off.
Segrid chortled to himself as he hung up the phone.
“You told them we’d meet them!” I burst out.
“Yes,” Segrid said simply, then pocketed my phone, presumably so I couldn’t cancel.
“You will not go to meet with the Merfolk about practicing your Water magicks, and you avoid your sister. My Enchantress, my Queen, something will have to give.”
“Yeah, me! I’ll give, explode into a million tiny pieces at the front door,” I barked, marching past him to go find something nicer to wear.
Segrid followed after me, unearthing a pair of leather thong sandals I had no idea he even owned.

Iwas beyond nervous as Segrid rang the bell. I was still miffed at him, but still, my hand reached behind him and I gave one of those rock hard butt cheeks a firm squeeze, right as the front door opened. Grunting like that was a greeting, blocking entry to his home, Ben stood there staring down at us.
“Move so we can come in, Big Ben, unless you intend to keep us out here all night,” I commanded, Ben blinking down at me in surprise as Seg let out a sexy as hell rumble at my butt grab and pressed in past the Cyclops like he wasn’t standing there, making room for me to follow him after.
“Vivvy!” Penny made a beeline for me where she stood in the kitchen with William, who was eating shredded cheese from the bowl on the counter. “Will, stop eating all the toppings!” she barked at him, turning to grin at me as she faced us.
The Cyclops was still standing by the door, staring from the spot we'd been to where I stood now hugging Penny. Shaking his head, Ben closed the door. William grinned at the look on his friend’s face. “She’s the mean one,” the Satyr felt the need to remind his friend.
Ben paused, frowning, and lifted his nose to sniff. “What the hell is she?” he blurted suddenly.
Tensing instantly, I stiffened in my sister’s arms. “Ben!” she burst out. “What’s the matter with you? She’s mated to Segrid now, so she’ll have stuff like he does. And she’s pregnant. I’m sure she smells plenty different with all that going on.”
“Nah,” Will shook his head. “There’s something else too. It’s really-”
Whatever William was about to blurt was cut short when Segrid let out a loud warning growl. The typically good natured Troll was starting to get really upset. I was the trigger to his carefully controlled temper.
All eyes turned to us as I glanced from my sister to Seg. My throat started working, heart starting to pound. Oh god, they knew. They were going to tell Pen and then- Water was already rolling down my face, starting to soak my shirt.
