Selena’s eyes didn’t waver from the preacher as he spoke about God’s grace and humble blessings while my mind conjured up every possible way to take her again tonight.

Pop had wanted to stay and eat lunch with the elders, hitching a ride back with his buddy, Grady, who lived a mile away from us, so we slipped out the back after the final prayer.

We stop at the Swine and Dine just outside of town. A hole in the wall dive that serves the best damn barbecue I’ve ever eaten. We place our order at the counter then take a seat to wait for our number to be called.

Selena looks around, eyes wide and curious. She’s always so observant. Hell, I guess I would be too if I’d been locked away as long as she has. There’s so much she hasn’t seen or done. So much she’s yet to experience but in the same breath, she’s endured more than one person should in her short life.

“What is something you enjoyed doing as a child? Did you have any hobbies?”

She offers me a sheepish smile and it takes everything I have not to lean over and taste it.

“I spent most of my time with my mother in her pottery barn out behind the house. I loved creating. Even though I wasn’t very good at it.”

“I can imagine that is a hard craft to learn.”

“Oh yes, it takes years of practice. My mother was wonderful at it. She would create so many beautiful things. Bowls, vases, crosses. I was in awe of her talents.”

“She sounds like an incredible woman.”

“I would have loved for you to meet her.”

“I think I have a piece of her here with me right now.”

My words have the desired effect. The smile that stretches her perfect lips fills my chest with warmth and my mind works on ways to keep it there permanently.

“I also loved to read. It allowed me to visit other places without leaving my home. Which is something we rarely got to do. My mother was always so paranoid. She didn’t want anyone knowing who we were or asking questions about us.”

“So you never had any friends?”

Shaking her head, she shifts in her seat. “No, Lindsey and April are the first real friends I’ve ever had.”

“They are the best kind to have. Lindsey is crazy as hell but she’s loyal and has a damn good heart. They both do.”

“I am quickly learning that. I’m also learning that Lindsey can be quite bold.”

“That’s one way of putting it.”

“She’s very knowledgeable about certain things.”

“As in?”

Her cheeks flush with heat.

“What did you two talk about the other day?”

Raising one shoulder, she bites her bottom lip before answering. “She told me that you would teach me things.”

My cock grows hard just thinking about all the things I want to teach her.

“I’m definitely going to teach you some things, baby.”

Her throat bobs as she swallows hard. “Like what?”

“Like how to take me in your mouth. How to fuck me while I watch you fall apart and how to pleasure yourself.”

She squirms in her seat, eyes darting around the restaurant. Our number is called so I stand up, curling my finger under her chin to lift her curious eyes to mine, wide and wild with desire.

“I’m going to teach you all the things you’re too afraid to ask.”
