“I have an idea, but you’re going to need to do some research....” We all leaned in close together, and I began to lay out the plan that I was going to affectionately dub: Operation: Seduce Tibby.
CHAPTER 38
––––––––
“Theo, I don’t knowhow I feel about being blindfolded....” I said as I was led down the upstairs hallway. After dinner everyone had gone into the recreation room to play pool, but Theo had tugged me with him up the stairs. At the top of the landing, he’d used a mens tie to blindfold me with, from there he’d put both hands on my shoulders to lead me...somewhere I was sure.
“You don’t think you’d like being blindfolded...ever?” His growly voice asked, and I considered that for a minute before answering:
“I mean, forever is a long time. I think sexy blindfolding is definitely different from this.” Even just the image of being blindfolded while one of the pack(or more than one, I’m not a picky girl)touched my naked body made my insides twist, and my arousal coat the inside of my panties. Theo could probably smell it right away, and my face flamed as he continued to lead me down the hallway.
Theo chuckled, his deep voice right next to my ear, “I’ll keep that in mind for another time, but tonight you will definitely want to see what I’ve prepared for you.”
Well now I was really fucking curious. Theo positioned my body so that I was facing...something I was sure.
“Okay, I’m going to take your blindfold off. Keep your eyes closed until I tell you to open them, okay, Little Bit?” Theo’s fingers began to pull at the knot.
“Is this a bad time to mention that I don’t like surprises?” I teased, but kept my eyes shut as the cloth fell away from my face.
“You’ll like this one, trust me.” Theo’s fingers trailed down the back of my neck. “Okay, you can go ahead and open in 3... 2... 1...open your eyes, Little Bit.”
I opened my eyes and had to blink a few times to get rid of the blurriness of having my eyes closed for so long, but once my vision cleared, I saw that we were standing in the doorway of the lodge’s nest. When Aria and I had left it earlier, it had been completely empty of any nesting materials. Now, as I looked inside, I realized that someone had changed some things.
String lights had been strung from the ceiling, giving the room an inviting glow. There were also nesting materials filling the room completely, and someone had gone through and arranged them.
A thick, quilted, blanket made up a flat base layer and around it were twisted blankets and pillows that were stacked so that they created a circle inside of the room. At the far end of the circle were flat, rectangular pillows that formed a semi-circle and showed where our heads would go. It was small, cozy, and absolutely perfect. I continued staring at it as my chest warmed and I had to fight off tears as I took it in.
“Theo...did you build me a nest?” I turned to ask the alpha and when I met his intense blue-eyed stare, I saw a hundred emotions flit through his eyes as he looked down at me. “How?”
Theo shrugged nonchalantly as if it wasn’t a big deal. “I watched a couple of youtube videos.”
I couldn’t help the surprised, strangled, laugh that bubbled out of me. “Your nest is definitely better than anything I’ve done so far and I’vealsowatched the videos.”
Theo’s hand slid along my face, and I willingly turned to face him. “I’m sorry I’ve been so distant and hard to reach. I’m not very good at all of this courting stuff—you can ask Aria about that—and between dealing with the whole trial and catching Jamie Jordan...I think I let it take too much of a backseat. I’m afraid that I’ve been left in the dust by the rest of the pack.”
I didn’t quite know how to respond in a way that wouldn’t make Theo feel bad. He was the first person that I met from Pack Simmons, but he had also kept his wall up the longest. He was still stuck in the protector/protected mode, and we needed to work together to move past that. It wouldn’t go away naturally and we’d have to take a sledge hammer to it if we wanted to be together.
