“Are you saying you’ve done nothing but live for us?” Oye demanded.

“Yes. First, I lived for our survival, then I lived for Sabina and after that there was the Nerium. When we closed ourorganization, I was left with guiding Witches and protecting them. I’ve spent my entire life protecting and serving others.” Lanias felt the weight rising off her shoulders as she spoke. “I had acquired enemies and gladly destroyed them always, but the effort I put in was always for protecting everyone, protecting us. So, when a chance came for me to focus on myself and learn about my past. I took it.”

“You—”

“I was wondering where you two were.” Sabina’s voice cut off whatever Oye had to say, as she walked toward them leaning on a floating I.V. that was attached to her arm. She walked in between them and looked down at her baby. “I can’t believe he’s here already.”

“I can’t believe you carried him around for so long,” Lanias said, glancing down at the butter ball that looked like he was trying to fight the blanket.

The three silently watched him for a few minutes before Sabina finally spoke. “I know you probably had your reasons, but I’m angry you didn’t trust me enough to share your concerns with me.”

Lanias felt a pang in her heart at her sister’s words. Though she didn’t show it, she could deal with Oye’s anger any day but Sabina’s disappointment had a greater affect.

Sabina turned to face her, “I’m going to ask you one question. Did you find what you were looking for?”

“Yes.” Lanias answered honestly, she’d found her parents and Alek.

Sabina nodded, “Will you be leaving again?”

Lanias shook her head, “No, I’m back to stay.”

“Good.” Then she ran forward and wrapped her arms around Lanias before bursting into tears.

Surprised, Lanias just let her sister hug her before she finally wrapped her own arms around her little sister and leaned her head down. “I’m back home.”’

“Welcome back,” Sabina sobbed.

Oye took a breath turning her back to them. “God, who started cutting onions in here.”

And that’s how Raijin, Alek, Castian and Eliza found them. Crying in the hallway all hugging as Oye had finally joined them. It took a minute before they were awkwardly separated apart each being separately consoled.

When Oye spotted the way Alek, consoled Lanias by enclosing her within his embrace as she pursed her lips. “And who was it who said, ‘stay away from those damn jackals’ I wonder.”

Lanias shot her a glare from the corner of her eye. “Shut up.”

“Hmph, make me.” Oye teased.

“Okay love, enough of your cat fighting,” Castian stepped between the two, giving Oye a warning look. “Now love, we can’t have the maternity ward become the same as the meeting room now, can we?”

Oye blanched as she looked away from him. “Hmm, right.”

“Right, isn’t the word I would use.” Castian finger lifted her chin forcing her to meet his gaze. “Did you, or your cousin have anything to do with how wrecked it was?”

Immediately all the women seemed to become preoccupied with wiping tears from their eyes. Eliza had her phone out as she attempted to call Malcolm.

Sabina released a low groan, leaning into Raijin. He immediately pulled her into his arms, with a worried expression.

Meanwhile Lanias turned her back so that Castian couldn’t see her face.

Noticing how every single one of them started acting suspicious. Castian released Oye’s chin and sighed. “He’s going to make me pay for it, I can just feel it.”

Oye clapped a supportive hand on his shoulder, “Look at it this way, you can afford it.”

He glared down at her, “You’re going to pay for this.”

“Ah,” she slowly pulled her hand down. “How?” Trepidation filled her voice.

He grinned, his eyes turning black. The mad warlock persona out for everyone to see. “It’s going to be a surprise, but don’t worry,” He leaned down, so his lips brushed her ear. “You’ll enjoy it.” He whispered.
