But it’s not time yet. Not until Noelle comes first.

So I lift her hips even higher. As I move faster inside her, I move one hand between her legs and flick her small, exposed bud. Noelle sinks to her elbows, pushing her ass up. Andfuck, is it gorgeous.

I can feel her getting closer, the tiny flutters of muscles urging me on. Moans and whimpers spill from her lips, even sexier than anything I’ve heard before.

“Webb.” It’s breathy. Needy. “I’m so close. I need?—”

“What, sweetheart?”

“Deeper. I need you deeper.”

As if I’d deny her?

As if I’d deny myself?

Pulling almost all the way, I slam home again. My mouth comes to Noelle’s neck. One hand comes to her breast.

And in a desperate cry of ecstasy, Noelle explodes. Her walls squeeze around me, urging me along with her. Her neck arches back, exposing the slender column of her throat. Satisfaction rises to see her eyes still closed.

I hold her up as I come, pulsing hot inside her.

Filling her.

Possessiveness surges.

Mine,a voice in my head whispers. Mine.

When Noelle’s arms and legs wobble, I pull out of her and drape her across my chest. My arms come around her, hugging her close. My lips come to the top of her head.

“How was that?” I ask. “Was it what you wanted?”

Her hand comes to my chest, right where my Night Stalker tattoo is. “I love touching it,” she told me once, “because it represents how brave you are. What you did to protect our country.”

“I loved it,” Noelle replies. “And I definitely want to try that again.” She pauses. “Maybe I could do it, too?”

Even though I just came, my dick jumps. “You want to tellmewhat to do?”

“Would that be okay? I know guys like to be in control…”

“Noelle. It would be more than okay. I’d love that.”

Because, while I sure as fuck love telling Noelle what to do in the bedroom, that doesn’t mean I wouldn’t enjoy having her take control, too.

“Okay.” She smiles against my neck. “I’d love that, too.”

Then she goes quiet again, thinking. “Webb?”

I stroke my hand down her hair. “Yes?”

“I was just thinking. Maybe it sounds crazy, but I’m glad everything happened the way it did.”

“Oh?”

“Yeah.” Her fingers trace my tattoo. “If I hadn’t had to leave Portland, I wouldn’t have met you. And meeting you has been the biggest and best thing that’s ever happened to me.”

My throat goes thick. “Meeting you has been the best thing that ever happened to me, too.”

Noelle lifts her head to meet my gaze. “Being here with you? It makes it all worth it. And I can’t wait to see what our future brings. Together.”
