Dammit-all.

Bobbie hoped that with Buck’s help, she could get answers to those long-standing questions, even though it might be too much to ask. He’d said he loved her, but how would she ever feel comfortable saying it back, when she wasn’t sure if she could give him all that he needed, all that he deserved, in bed. Because she had a feeling Buck would be vexed if there were no climaxes, and the man was just too smart for her to fake it…

Bobbie shook it all off. Now wasnotthe time to be thinking of sex. She had work to do.

Bending quickly to the task, she furled her sails, and as she entered the outer harbor with her canvas down, she pushed the electric start on the motor for her small, four stroke Yamaha outboard, which would take her the rest of the way.

Powering slowly through the sea of moorings, Bobbie kept her eyes peeled, looking for the one with the right number.

There.

She caught sight of Diver Downeast’s designated spot, and taking note of the current, she positioned her vessel, then cut her power.

Swiftly, before the squirrely wind could push her past it or in another direction, she used her boat hook to snag the buoy, and latched on, making quick work of attaching her bow-line.

If the storm had been forecast to be harsher, she would have secured a second tether, just in case the first became compromised in any way. She’d also have put bumpers out in the event that a boat nearby broke free and headed in her direction. That way, her hull would have some protection against any minor collisions.

Luckily the storm moving inwasn’tsupposed to be a huge nor’easter or anything, and the moorings here in Hampden were touted as some of the best. So, at least for now, she’d rely on what she’d accomplished, and wouldn’t opt for more, orfor moving further out to anchor, as was always the next option during events with higher winds.

If this had been a hurricane approaching, she’d be hauling ass to get her boat right the hell out of the water, but she wasn’t worried. It wasn’t. By the lack of activity at the docks this morning, it didn’t seem like any other boaters were concerned, either.

Before Bobbie had even finished lashing down her boom, a voice raised across the choppy water.

“Ahoy,Small Dream.”

Bobbie’s face immediately broke into smiles. Here was the person she’d been waiting to see.

Reyghan yipped a few times from her position at the stern, and the pup got a returning bark from Cooper. Bobbie guessed the wee beasts were excited to see each other.

Bobbie looked to where Buck approached, and was glad to note that he had opted for an inflatable dinghy instead of one of the wooden tenders the marina kept available for clients. If the wind got whipping, a wooden hull banging against hers would be unwise. Bobbie giggled to herself. She should have known Buck would be smarter than that. He’d not only grown up around water, he’d been in the freaking Coast Guard.

“You need any help?” she called out as she finished securing the last of her sails.

“If you could grab Cooper,” Buck yelled back, “I’m good.”

Bobbie hustled over to the side where Buck had pulled up next to her hull, and…Damn. The sight of him never failed to make her breath hitch in her lungs.

He was undoubtedly a gorgeous mountain of a man. Dressed today in tight jeans and a t-shirt that hugged his…sigh…eight pack, the light rain that had started falling would soon plaster that to his body so every muscle would be delineated. Bobbie didn’t know whether her heart could take it.

Funny. When they were younger, she’d always been attracted to Buck, but she’d never considered him huge or ripped. Bobbie didn’t know if it was because they’d spent so much time together that she’d gotten accustomed to his impressive size, or if he’d just worked out harder and grown exponentially since then, but the man was currently imposing.

Standing up steadily in his small craft, he quickly had Cooper in his arms, poised and ready for transfer.

That upright posture in such a small craft went against everything Bobbie had been taught, but she figured Buck was sostrong and solid that not even a rogue wave could knock him over.

Still, she was taking no chances. Quickly clipping the safety line she always wore when sailing alone, onto a gunnel cleat, Bobbie planted her feet shoulder width apart, then leaned over and grabbed Cooper, who was squirming to beat the band.

“Hey, little one. Calm down,” she chuckled. “Let’s get you strapped in, then you can say hi to Reyghan.”

Bobbie’s auburn pup was whining from where she was tethered in the cockpit area, unable to reach her friend just yet, but Bobbie would soon remedy that.

Luckily, Buck already had Cooper in his harness, so it was only a matter of unclipping herself, taking a few steps, and with a second, quick click for safety, she attached Cooper’s lead next to Reyghan’s, and the two canines were rolling all over each other.

Yup.That was going to be her and Buck in a short while.

Averyshort while if she had anything to say about it. All her orgasm questions needed either to be confirmed, or put to rest.

While she’d been securing Cooper, Buck had finished lashing his inflatable to her boat, then using pure arm strength, he easily vaulted his way up onto her deck.
