He grabbed her arms and flipped her around.

With a hiss, she slapped both hands on the brick wall and shoved back, but he was quicker. Heat and muscle plastered against her back, holding her in place. His hand swept down her front, shoving her arms down so she faced the wall.

Trapped.

A relentless arm banded around her waist, holding her in place. Seth’s free hand clutched her hair at the nape and tugged her head to the side, exposing her jugular.

Quick breaths panted out as her lungs compressed, and she tried to fight. Fury spiraled heat into her cheeks when she couldn’t move. Her mind cleared as she waited for him to make a move she could counter.

Sharp teeth sank into her neck.

Pain flared her nervous system to life. Her eyes opened wide. It wasn’t a normal bite. Worse yet, raw desire commingled with the rage heating her blood. She tried to jerk away. “You fucking wolf. Get your canines out of me.”

The deadly points retracted, and his rough tongue soothed the wound. “As I recall, you like me inside you.” Anger rode the low tone while warm breath brushed her neck.

What was wrong with her that this show of dominance was turning her on? “That was a mistake.”

His voice roughened even further. “Don’t like fucking an animal, sweetheart?”

“No.”

His hold tightened. The hard line of his erection pressed into her back, and she fought a groan.

A low chuckle whispered along her skin. “Liar. I may be an animal, but I can smell your need, Mia Stone. I could mount you right here, right now, and you’d fucking beg for more.”

Fury shot her head back, and she twisted to throw an elbow.

He released her waist to clasp her throat, keeping her head against him. “Not nice.”

“Let go of me.”

“Not yet. First, we get a couple of things straight.” A sharp fang nipped her earlobe before he licked his way around the shell.

Her knees began to tremble—and not from fear. Not even close. “We’re in the police station,” she breathed to remind them both.

“Keep that in mind. I don’t give a shit where we are. Any time you draw silver on me, I’ll react. There’s something between us, and it’s time you understood the rules.”

Rules? She jerked her head and nailed him in the lip. His low hiss made her smile. “If I scream, the sheriff will come running.”

Another male chuckle. “If you scream, the sheriff will know you can’t handle a suspect all by yourself, little girl. We both know there’s no way you’ll scream.”

If she could inch to the left, she could hook a foot around his leg. Slowly, she slid her foot to the side.

“No.” He yanked her back in place. “Here’s the deal. We’re together, like it or not. And next time you pull silver on me, I swear to whatever God you believe in, every time you try to sit for the next week, you’ll regret the silver.”

She paused and frowned at the brick wall. “You can’t be serious.”

“Deadly.”

“I’m a trained agent, Volk.”

“Then I strongly suggest you don’t try to use silver against me, Deputy.” He flipped her around, his body keeping her in place. “You need to know; I don’t give a damn where we are or who’s around.”

His eyes had darkened to the hue of midnight absent a moon.

She shook her head, her mind fuzzy. “You can’t honestly be saying—”

“I am. You need everything spelled out for you, don’t you?” He leaned until his face was only an inch from hers. “Okay. If you pull silver on me again, I will retaliate and teach you a lesson you don’t want to learn. In other words, your ass will wear my palm print for a week. Maybe two if you piss me off enough.”
