“Yes.”

Aiden tilts his head as if he’s questioning my answer.

I poke his bare chest. “Do you not want to? It’s fine if you don’t. I get it. I’m your sister and?—”

I squeak as Aiden pulls me toward him until my breasts flatten against his chest and his mouth hovers beside my ear. “If anyone is going to teach you how to kiss, it’ll be me. I don’t give a damn if you’re my sister or not.”

My heart pounds against my ribcage like a drum that I’m positive Aiden can feel against his chest.

He slips his hand from my waist to my lower back. “I thought I made it clear that our sibling relationship doesn’t matter when I offered to teach you things in bed. That offer still stands, by the way, in case you ever change your mind about the no-sex rule.”

I hold my breath, unable to come up with a response.

Aiden leans back to look at me, then moves on like he didn’t just admit to wanting to sleep with me. “We’re going to start small. I’ll press my lips to yours and hold still. Once you get comfortable with the feeling, pull away, and then we’ll start the next step.”

“Sounds easy enough.”

He graces me with his playboy smile and threads his fingers through my hair to hold me in place. My eyelashes flutter as he inches forward, and his nose bumps against mine. I wait for his lips to touch mine, but it never happens. Opening my eyes, I find him watching me with amusement.

“Relax. It’s just a kiss,” he murmurs and bumps his nose against mine again in a gentle nuzzle.

I huff. “I am relaxed.”

He grins and brushes his lips against the corner of my mouth. “Breathe.” He kisses the other corner. “I’ve got you.”

I close my eyes and bask in the affection he rains on me. I melt in his arms and follow his whispered instructions to relax. He hums, pleased with my response, and kisses all over my face to give me more time to prepare mentally.

Being kissed by him shouldn’t be a huge deal, but it is, and he knows this. He didn’t have to make this special or take his time to teach me anything, but he is, and I can’t thank him enough.

“Ready?” he whispers.

I nod, not bothering to open my eyes. “Just kiss me already.”

His soft chuckle vibrates through my chest and straight to my racing heart. I suck in a breath as his lips press against mine and remain there. My stomach somersaults, and my mind blanks. I try to imagine it’s Brandon, but all I can smell is Aiden. All I can feel is his hard body pressed against mine.

His lips are soft as silk. His warm breaths fan against my lips, slow and steady, the calm in the turbulent storm I’m suddenly thrown into. I tighten my hold around his shoulders, and he matches the same grip in my hair as he holds me in place.

I’m supposed to get used to this, but I don’t know if I can when I want to toss this whole step-taking aside and leap right into the deep end with him.

I drop my hands to his chest and gently push him away to let him know I’m ready for the next part.

He leans back and licks his bottom lip. “How did that feel?”

“Good.” I curl my fingers into his chest to stop myself from tugging on my hair.

“You ready for the next step?”

I nod.

He tucks a lock of hair behind my ear. “When I kiss you again, I’ll tease your lips with my tongue for you to let me in. From there, we’ll tangle our tongues together.”

I swallow hard and nod, unable to form words.

He notices and cups my cheeks with both hands. “Follow my lead. I’ll take it slow, and we can work up from there.”

“I trust you,” I say.

Aiden’s chest puffs out in pride, and he grins. “Good.”
