No one is allowed to harm her, not even herself.

Annoyance rushes through my veins, overpowering the lust. To fix that, I close my eyes and drop my head against the back of the sofa as I hold Nova’s used panties to my nose. More blood pumps between my legs, and the discomfort from my erection turns into agony. But I refuse to touch myself.

Would this be considered pain stimming?I freed my hard dick and shoved my nose in my sister’s dirty underwear, but I’m choosing to ride out the case of blue balls rather than having a quick but unsatisfying release. I’m hurting myself by doing this.

Clenching my jaw, I lower the panties from my face and stare at the TV for a few more minutes before tucking myself into my pants, then stuffing the panties into my pocket.

I need more info on the guy Nova is talking to. For starters, I want a last name and a picture. I want to know who captured my sister’s attention and what about him is making her choosehimover me.

I finish the last of the joint, disconnect the cameras from the TV before switching it off, then head to Nova’s bedroom on the second floor. She’s passed out now and won’t hear me creeping around, thanks to the meds.

Keeping my steps light, I enter her room and stop at her bedside. I tilt my head as my gaze settles on Nova’s relaxed face. Her plump lips part with each deep, even breath. Her upper lip puffs out more than her bottom one. Some would consider it animperfection, but I find this trait adorable. My fingertips hover over her cheek, yearning to touch her while she sleeps, but I don’t want to risk waking her.

I lean over her and pluck her cellphone from beneath the spare pillow beside her head. Already knowing the password, I unlock the screen and open the text thread with Brandon. I read through some of Nova and Brandon’s messages that I didn’t have a chance to read earlier.

Scrolling through the thread, I look for a last name. Anything to give me a hint about who the hell he is. Even a picture. But none of that pops up. He’s faceless, and she has him saved in her contacts by his first name.

I frown and search through other messenger apps on her phone, but none of them has the info I need.

Shaking my head, I lock the screen and gently return the phone to where I found it. I take one last glance at Nova’s pretty face, then leave her bedroom to go to mine. Sitting on the edge of my mattress, I stare at the wall across from me and wait for the guilt to come.

And it does.

I shouldn’t be snooping through Nova’s phone. I shouldn’t be trying to find reasons to hate this guy.

Jealousy is jealousy, and there’s no stopping it.

Until I have to hand her over to this asshole, I’ll enjoy the time I’ll have with her as my fake girlfriend.

What could possibly go wrong?

NOVA

I yawnand stretch my arms out as I shuffle into the kitchen. My eyes slide shut, and I hum with a smile as I hit a wall of sweet and savory scents, the most notable being bacon.

Opening my eyes, I take a seat at the island, facing Aiden as he cooks breakfast. Basketball shorts sit low on his hips, and he’s shirtless. I cup my cheeks and rest my elbows on the counter as I watch him rotate the bacon in the frying pan. He hasn’t noticed me, which gives me time to enjoy the sight of him doing something so simple yet kind.

My gaze travels from his tattooed neck to his inked shoulders and back. Most of the pieces on his back are anime characters from the shows we used to watch together when we were younger.

I love that despite Aiden dirtying his hands in some ways, he’s still nerdy in others.

He shifts his weight and flips a piece of bacon, and the muscles in his arms and back bulge with the movement. My stomach clenches as I imagine Brandon having the same build as my brother. I’ve only ever seen down to his chest but never the rest of his body.

“Morning, pretty girl.”

I blink and focus on Aiden. He grins at me and slides a plate of stacked pancakes toward me. Strawberries and chocolate drizzle cover the tower, and a side of bacon sits off to the right.

“How long have you been sitting here?” He hands me a fork, then slides the bottle of syrup beside my plate.

I grin and dance in my seat as I eye the food. “Not long. Thank you for breakfast.” I lick my bottom lip and stab my fork through a strawberry. “You’re up early again. Are you leaving?”

Aiden leans his folded arms against the counter, and he watches with amusement as I pop the fruit into my mouth. “Nope. I promised you that we’d be busy today. I had to check on Ryder earlier and let him know I’d be gone for the day. So you’re all mine.”

My eyes slide shut at the first taste of chocolate mixed with strawberry, and I moan. “So good.” Swallowing the bite, I look at him and tilt my head. “What? Why are you staring at me like that?”

Aiden runs his fingertips over his mouth and glances away, a smirk peeking through his fingers. “Nothing. I just love watching you enjoy my food.”
