I clasp her hand and press her fingers against her clit. “Touch yourself for me,” I order, standing and reaching for my pants. “But don’t come until I get back. I’m running upstairs to get a condom.”
“No.” Her free hand snaps around my ankle. “I have an IUD,” she whispers. “I just want you.”
I scan her face. “Are you sure?”
She sits up and pulls on my ankle. “One hundred percent. I was tested a few months ago and haven’t been with anyone since.”
Her unguarded expression has my heart pounding in my chest. “Same for me,” I whisper.
“Then come back. Please.”
Dragging in a shaky breath, I lower to my knees between her thighs and search her face for any doubts. Any second-guessing. Any chance she might have made a mistake and doesn’t actually want to do this with a crumbling mess of a man like me.
But she looks completely sure, her expression confident and loving in a way I’ve never seen.
Relief courses through my veins, filling me with adrenaline and making my hands tremble as I bring them to her hips. Vanilla and lemon fill my senses as I claim her lips in a possessive kiss. Millie’s nails dig into my back as her tongue brushes over mine, and I get to taste every one of her soft sighs and moans.
Leaving her lips, I meet her eyes again and watch her face as I press at her slick entrance. The sensation of touching her with nothing between us is already overwhelming. Skin to skin, I slide into her slowly, igniting every nerve ending.
Tingling pleasure races up my thighs and spine, and I can’t stop the low groan that cuts through the room when I’m seated completely inside her.
Every soft curve of her tight, wet heat envelops me. Every glorious inch, filled withme. Nothing between us. I’m unable to move as she seizes every one of my senses. Her scent, her warmth, her breaths, her eyes.
“You feel so damn perfect,” I murmur, pulling out slightly and holding my breath as I push back in. Fuck, I don’t want this to be over too quickly, but I don’t know if I can stop it.
Her eyelids flutter shut with my movement, and when she opens them again, tears glisten at the edges of her eyes.
I freeze, completely focused on those drops of moisture shimmering in the moonlight. “What’s wrong, stella mia?” My thumb catches a tear as it slides down to her ear.
“They’re called emotions, Spock.” She laughs, deep and raspy, and her inner wall clenches.
It takes an act of extreme willpower not to move, but a small groan leaves my throat at the feeling of her tightening around me. “Are they good emotions?”
“The best ones,” she sighs with a small smile.
I nod and catch a tear with my tongue, licking the salty moisture and absorbing the emotion into me. “I love you so much,” I whisper against her cheek.
She stutters a breath as I give a tentative push toward her. “I love you too.”
They’re such simple words, but they completely restore every fractured bit of me.
Lowering my lips to hers, I breathe her in. I let her fill my lungs and my soul, and every shattered piece of my heart is finally gathered back together. Those fragments will never be assembled into the exact same shape they used to be, but she reconstructs them into a new version.
A better one. Millie’s version.
She lifts her hips into mine as I pull out and press back in. I capture her moans with my mouth, sealing our bodies as close as possible. We move together in unhurried, deep strokes, the room filled with the sounds of our whispered promises and cries of ecstasy until we come together in a shower of sparks, panting each other’s names.
Chapter 46
Millie
I could stay in this bed, in the shelter of Finn’s arms, for the entire day.
Maybe a week.
Maybe forever.
Unfortunately, his alarm is chirping from his nightstand, signaling that I actually have to get up for work today. But the green duvet over us is so warm and cozy, begging me to call in sick.
