“Do you think we should wait?”
“Wait for what? It’s his wedding day.”
“Uh…maybe for him to actually wake up.”
“Like I said, it’s his wedding day. If he lays in bed too much longer, he’s gonna turn into a raisin.”
Groaning, I shut out the voices and rolled over, only to have my pillow torn away from me. I didn’t know who the hell was in here, but they were about to have their asses beaten.
“Go away!”
“Hey, friend,” the person said, tapping his finger on my shoulder, followed by a round of chuckles.
I knew that voice. I knew that voice very well and?—
I jerked upright, slamming my forehead right into Sinner’s. He flinched back, rubbing his head as I took in the massive number of men standing in my bedroom.
All of them in tactical gear.
“What the fuck are you doing here?” I shouted.
“Well, I certainly wasn’t expecting a shot to the forehead. You know, it’s rude to hurt people who only come to help.”
“Help with what?” I snapped, flinging off the covers.
Sinner jumped up, backing away from me as he held his fingers up in a hexsymbol. “Alright now, we’ve all seen the monster before. We don’t need round two.”
“You came into my room,” I seethed. “Into my house! How did you even?—”
He snorted in amusement as Cap, Hunter, Wolf, Alec, Storm, Cazzo…Christ, I looked at them and realized every fucking one of them was here.
“I mean, come on. Did you really think we wouldn’t be able to jimmy the locks on your door?”
“No, but I thought maybe you would have the decency to knock,” I snapped.
Sinner scratched the back of his head uncomfortably. “Well, yeah. I mean, Cap said we should do that. And he’s right. We should have, but it was so early in the morning, and we needed coffee and breakfast. You know, it was a long drive. We left two days ago to get here in time. And then we were all hungry, as I was saying, and the kitchen was right there, so we thought, why not?”
I stared at him, trying to figure out what the hell he was talking about. “Why not, what?”
Smirking, he slapped me on the shoulder. “You know, make some coffee, have some breakfast.”
“Quiet!” Blake moaned. “I’m trying to sleep!”
“No can do, little lady!” Wolf said, sauntering over to her. “It’s your wedding day!”
He got right in her face, and I tried to warn him, but it was too late. Her eyes flew open and she screamed, slamming her fist into his nose. Blood gushed as he stumbled back a step, the smile on his face gone as he crashed into the dresser, knocking over everything on top.
“What the hell? I was just saying good morning!”
“In my face!” Blake shouted, jumping to her feet, her breasts and…well, everything, hanging out for everyone to see.
“Jesus, don’t either of you ever wear clothes?” Cap mumbled as he turned his back on us.
“Yes, we do. When we’re in public, but we’re not in public. We’re in our house, in our beds! And let me tell you something,” I said, stalking forward. They all started shifting toward the door. “If I want to walk around naked in my house, on my property, I’ll walk around naked! And if I want to walk out on my front porch in the buff, I’ll do that too!”
By now, I had them all at the door, rushing to get out.
“Get the fuck off my property!”
