Gabe just raised that strong hand to his lips and kissed it. His tears blurring his vision. That blinding love, shimmering like stars.

They had managed to make Armando sleep in his own room, after weeks of taking turns putting him to sleep. Gabe had let the blinds up, that orange sky invisible behind those dark clouds, his night lamp on. He turned to Damian in that huge bed, thrilled that they didn’t have to have clothes on anymore. Tracing his pecs, playing with that soft fuzz, gliding his palm on it, lightly. It felt so good; it made his heart race. Catching Damian’s amused eyes.

Gabe grinned. “So what? I love it… your hair… all that softness…”

“I know exactly what you like…”

“Oh… really? Mhm…”

“Mhm… Are you mocking?”

“Nooo… I wouldn’t dare…” But he had poked his tongue out, laying back, his eyes playing.

Damian rolled on him, pinning him to the mattress. His hazel eyes, his skin and hair like jewels on that dark blue satin. Damian kissed him softly. “You’re so gorgeous.” Gliding his hands in his hair, claiming his mouth as he pushed against him, letting his weight on him, just enough to feel him pant into the kiss. Spread his legs. A twinge of surprise in Damian as he looked at him. “Like this?”

Gabe nodded, his heart racing. “Yes… like this… Love me.” His fingers dug into his back, pulling him close. “Fuck me.”

Damian’s lips curled up as he complied, pushing in, watching him arch his neck back, but he tilted his head back, kissing him. Not breaking that kiss, even when he started rocking his hips, hard. Holding him, kissing him. Gabe moaned in his mouth, panting, holding on tight. His legs had gone around Damian, over his arm, spurring him on, flexing his hips back, hard. Meeting his thrusts as he ate him up, their teeth clashing softly, tearing at their lips. Feeling Gabe arch against his abs, trapped between them. Kissing him, riding him, cupping his face to look into his eyes.

“You want me inside?” His lips trembling.

Gabe panted, his voice soft. “No… I want you in my mouth…”

It sent a ripple down Damian’s spine, his voice, his words, his hands gliding on his sides. “Fuck…”

“Yeah… fuck…” Kissing him back. “Fuck me.” Floating on those hard thrusts, clinging to his shoulders as Damian’s hands roamed his legs, held his thigh tight.

Feeling how close Gabe was, so he rocked him harder, watching his face melt as he lost it. He kissed him through it, and didn’t slow, drinking his mewls, his sobs.

Gabe pushed at him when he felt him close. “Come in my mouth…” Damian pulled out, kneeling, as Gabe moved to the side, taking him in his mouth, that burning flesh. Too much. Damian moaned, holding on to the headboard not to collapse, feeling Gabe swallow, suck to the last drop. Trembling, both of them panting, a thin sheen of sweat on their skin. He lay down next to Gabe, pulling him on his shoulder. Caressing his skin, his hair. Soft kisses to that burning skin.

Gabe looked at him, that soft glow in his eyes, and he didn’t need to say anything. They both knew. Any doubts washed away but that primal love, they held each other tight, drifting into sleep.

Chapter 29

Autumnrolledintowinter, that blue sky morphing dark grey sometimes, the clouds toiling in that sunless sky. That chill pervading everything, chewing through clothes. Halloween gone, Christmas decorations taking the zombies and spiders’ place in shop windows.

Damian hurried down the street, holding Armando’s hand tight, a raging wind blowing, snaking hard between those tall buildings. Droplets of rain in the air, like tiny icy punches. He squinted, running into their building. Blowing a breath, he smiled down at the panting little boy, his face red, alight.

“Woah… look at it pour…” The rain lashed down, hard, carried by that howling wind. They waved at the porter, and Armando ran to him to get a lollipop which Andrew always had stashed in his desk drawer.

“Have a good day, little Sir!” His wide smile, tipping his cap.

Armando saluted, shoving that red lollipop in his mouth. He ran to Damian standing near the elevator.

“Hey… don’t run with the lollipop in your mouth. It’s dangerous.” Watching him take it out straight away. Armando sucked it only in the elevator and didn’t run on the corridor.

Waiting until Damian took his shoes off at the entrance. They walked in, the floor warm under their feet. Damian’s phone pinged in that silence, so he swiped it open, reading Christine’s email about the progress of their new home’s construction. Not that he wanted to know, but it kept him a bit busy. His eyes drifted to that storm outside, lightnings farther on the horizon. Bringing back memories. Another email, and his heart raced a bit. He picked his phone up and leant against the window, talking, taming the trembling of his hand. Watching Armando run around, wondering where he’d left the lollipop stick. Back to his conversation, which he concluded with a grin. A smile to that grey sky. His shoulder wedged against that cool glass.

Armando tugged at his hand. “I’m hungry.”

“Alright. Pancakes?”

“Yes, yes!” He danced around, rushing to the kitchen. “Can I help?”

Damian followed him, tossing his phone on the counter. “Yes. Here, stand on this.” Pulling a sturdy chair close, he put him on it. Smiling at how he felt in his arms. Heavier. His bones coated with muscles. They prepared the batter, and baked some, but Armando was too hungry, so Damian sat him down to eat, baking some more whilst he ate.

Their eyes going to the door when Gabe walked in, huddled in his coat, his arms wedged to his chest. He was drenched, water dripping from his hair.
