She followed him, shivering, because she had heard of what had happened. Her large, blue eyes welled up with tears, her long, blonde hair trailing behind her, her dress a mere piece of flimsy, white linen sticking to her body.
Julius knocked and pushed her inside. “Here she is, Commander.”
“Leave us.”
He did, closing the door, exhaling loudly, and leaving as fast as he could.
She watched the man’s broad back, standing, facing the window, his arms folded, and waited, clasping her hands in the front. He turned then and her legs quivered, seeing the cold hate in his blue eyes, his black hair falling into them, his handsome face which didn’t belong with those eyes filled with darkness.
His voice was soft as he approached her, but she trembled, that voice seemingly coming out of a grave, cold, dark. “Do you know why you’re here?”
She backed to the door and stood there, braced against the wood, her eyes wide. “No...”
He looked her over, standing very close, his hand tracing her face, her shoulders, her hips, his mouth curling into a small smile. “You don’t know...”
She shook her head, her eyes welling up.
His eyes bore into her. “Your father made a grave mistake... and I intend to make him pay for it...” She breathed faster but held his gaze. “So, you, little dove... you’re going to help me...”
Her voice was a breath. “How...?”
He stroked her face. “You know your settlement better than anybody here... so, you’re going to help us map it, so we can strike with the biggest efficiency...”
“But... but you’ll kill him...”
He grinned. “Yes, so? What does it matter to you?”
“He’s my father...”
His eyes shone with an evil light as he cupped her chin. “Some father... giving his daughter away to become a whore...”
Her tears spilled. “He didn’t know... he thought I would be married to that man...”
Marius laughed then, not letting go of her chin. “Married to a Roman, you?”
She could not lower her eyes, so she just let her tears spill, shame washing over her.
He pushed closer, pressing her against the door, and her body reacted to his heat, despite her will to hate him. She cursed it then, this treacherous body which had been conditioned to respond to men, her skin tingling, her nipples becoming erect under the flimsy fabric of her gown.
Marius smiled, his lips inches from hers. “Such a slut...”
His hand trailed down her side and she felt it glide up between her legs to her core, trailing the wetness there, his smile mocking. She gasped when he shoved two fingers inside her, almost lifting her off the ground, pushing her into the door. “Is this what you like, little slut?”
She whimpered. “No...”
“Mhm... your body is telling a different story...” She panted when he started fucking her, shoving his fingers inside, hard. ”A very different story...”
He pulled his fingers out and dragged her to the bed, shoving her face down on the mattress, her legs on the floor.
She felt her gown pushed up on her waist and she screamed when he pushed inside of her, rock-hard, his hand fisting her hair, yanking her head back. “You don’t want to help us? Maybe I can make you change your mind...” Her lips parted in shock when she felt him slam inside of her, fucking her hard, his anger fueling him, oblivious to her cries. If anything, it made him crueler, leaning on her, his breath in her ear. “So… will... you... help... us?” She cried, shaking her head, and he fucked her harder.
Finally, he had enough and pulled out, turning her around, yanking her up by her gown, holding her inches from his face, her eyes glazed over, her face marred by tears. “You can go through this each night? Or... I have a better idea. If you don’t help, I’ll make you be the cheapest whore in this camp and I’ll have you fucked to pieces by the lowest level grunts, hell, I’ll even pay the whole cohort the first round...” She listened to him, her eyes widening, disbelieving, and he smiled a cruel smile. “Oh... you don’t believe me?”
Marius let her go, and she slid to the floor, watching him stride to the door and ask a guard to get Julius.
The centurion arrived minutes later, his eyes flying to the prone woman on the floor, but he stood at attention to Marius, the commander’s eyes wild blue flames in his face. “Take this whore back to their quarters and fix her price to the lowest possible.”
Julius blanched. “How low, Commander?”
