“I didn’t tell you I wasn’t.”

“You didn’t tell me you were,” he countered.

“I wouldn’t be here if I weren’t. If I didn’t trust you.”

Elias got the feeling that wasn’t all she wanted to say, like she’d trailed off and left something unspoken. He didn’t comment on it; instead, he leaned in to kiss her. He’d told himself he would let her dictate how they proceeded, becausehe knew her well enough to know that she’d never ask him for something she didn’t want.

Eri allowed Elias’ tongue to guide hers as her hands ran over broad shoulders. One of his hands ghosted along her side, and the shiver that ran through her from the small touch was almost violent.

This hadn’t been how she saw the night ending. At least, not when the night started. However, she slowly found herself getting worked up as the night continued over little things. Things he’d done before, like whispering in her ear and the teasing comments he made. But when he’d continued to kiss her in the kitchen as they’d been cleaning, heat settled in her stomach.

Like with her initial reaction to the butterflies he caused her after not feeling them in years. It was the same with the heat she felt creeping into her stomach, the slow arousal that encompassed her. Eri had thought she’d be able to shake it, get rid of it after she showered, but that hadn’t been the case. She’d laid in bed staring at the ceiling, that feeling still very much present, and the thought of touching herself, of taking care of it herself, had not appealed to her.

She wasn’t sure she was making the right decision when she got out of bed and went to his room. Eri still had her reservations, but when he’d made sure she was awake and not sleepwalking, those reservations didn’t seem as prominent.

Then he’d asked her if she was sure, and the truth was she wasn’t. Not one hundred percent, but she wanted to. Shetrusted him to stop if that was what she wanted, to only take it as far as she wanted. Though Eri was unsure how far she wanted to. She hadn’t been trying to undress him either time she’d reached for him. She’d only been trying to entice him, but as she thought about it, she wasn’t opposed to undressing him. The thought didn’t have fear or anxiety filling her gut.

Eri spread her legs and pulled him down to settle between them. The hand that was moving along her side trailed over the outside of her thigh as she wrapped her legs around him. She shifted her hands to the sides of his neck; her right thumb brushed under his ear, and he moaned into the kiss, gripping her thigh.

Oh, he liked that. She did it again, this time using her nail to brush along the spot. He nipped at her lower lip as he pulled away, and Eri chased his lips. He gave another kiss, and she brushed her thumb against that spot again.

“Amate,” Elias spoke against her lips. “You’re tempting me.”

“Am I?” she asked, caressing that spot again. She’d never been with a man who was this responsive to such a gentle touch. But to be honest, every previous intimate experience she’d ever had seemed far off, overshadowed by that terrible night.

“You know you are.” He trailed his lips along her jaw and down to her neck, biting it gently, and pulling a moan from her. “Two can play this game.”

She caressed below his ear again. “Then play.”

He peppered kisses along her neck. “I can’t play if I don’t know the rules.”

“Rules?” Eri questioned in confusion.

He leaned up to look at her. “Tell me what you do and don’t want. Tell me what I can and can’t do.” He kissed her softly. “I’m going at your pace.”

Going at her pace. Was that what he’d been doing the entire time? It would make sense. It was always like he knew just how much to push, but overstepped no boundaries. He did nothing to make her uncomfortable. It made Eri wonder if he knew, but the only people she’d ever told were her father, her therapist, and Avian, and she knew her friend would not have told him. He would do what she wanted, and as she looked into his eyes, she knew what that was.

“Touch me,” she requested softly.

Elias ran his fingers along her thigh. “I am touching you.” Eri moved his hand from her thigh to between her legs, and his fingers ghosted over the fabric of the boxers he’d given her to wear. “Is this where you want me to touch you?” he asked, fingers shy of slipping into the split in the boxers, and she knew he was teasing her.

“Not quite, but you’re getting warmer,” she told him, and Elias chuckled.

He slipped his hand in, and Eri was arching off the bed from just the soft touch of his finger on her clit. The touch felt far heavier than it was, and she hadn’t known she’d be that sensitive. Not that she didn’t please herself from time to time, but this might as well have been new to her.

“From that, I’d say I’m spot on now,” Elias stated, and before she could answer, he circled his finger around her clit, pulling a gasp from her.

He took her lips in another breathtaking kiss as he slid a finger inside her, his thumb pressing against her clit. Eri arched into the touch, and he swallowed her moan, drinking it down as his tongue coerced hers into submission.

She thought her lungs were going to explode before he pulled away from the kiss, and she wouldn’t have had a problem with it. Again, he planted kisses along her jaw and neck, nipping and sucking at the sensitive flesh.

Eri’s moans filled the room as Elias played with her pussy. She could already feel her release building. Any other time, she might have felt embarrassed by it, but right then, she didn’t care. All she wanted was to cum from actions that were not her own, and he was pushing her right to the finish line.

“Are you going to cum for me already?” Elias questioned softly against her ear. “I can feel you clenching around my finger.” He licked a trail along her neck. “Cum for me, Amate.”

Eri didn’t have to be told twice. With a few more strokes of his fingers, she was doing just that. Her pussy clenched around his finger as he pressed her clit, and she arched into the touch.
