“I’m sure we can use the pack’s territory; we’ll just have to make arrangements with the security team.”

When they reached the dealership, she found Leo in one of the bays working on a vehicle. He had grease on his hands and a smudge on his cheek, and he looked mouth-wateringly delicious in his coveralls.

He looked up when she walked in, and he set the tool he was using down and moved swiftly to her, swinging her up in a hug and kissing her.“Damn, I missed you.”

She smiled and hugged him.“I missed you, too. How’s it going?”

He sighed, setting her on her feet.“It’s been a ridiculously long day.We had enough tires on hand to take care of the vehicles being picked up tomorrow by customers, and we’ll get two of three shipments in on Sunday. It’s a clusterfuck of epic proportion.”

“I’m so sorry you’re dealing with this.”When they’d talked earlier, he’d asked if she was willing to help out in the office on Saturday and answer phones, and she was happy to help out in whatever way the pack needed.Plus, she’d get to spend time with Leo, even if he’d be elbow deep in vehicle repairs.

“Me too.I’m just glad no one was hurt. They screwed us big time, but we didn’t lose anyone, so I’m focusing on that.”

“I brought you dinner,” she said.“Come on and take a break. My family’s in the conference room setting up.”

The dealership had a large conference room with a big oval table surrounded by chairs. When they’d arrived, she’d gone straight to find Leo, and her family had set up the dinner they’d picked up from a place near the B&B.

Leo stopped at the washroom to clean up and then walked with her to the conference room.Adam was talking to her dad, Auron.

“Hi, Mira,” Adam said.

“Hello,” she said.

“We hope you’re hungry,” Layla said, smiling at Leo.“Adam, we have enough trays of food for others if there are more people working.”

“I’ll call them in,” Adam said.

They’d ordered several trays of baked ziti, sausage and peppers, and fettuccine alfredo with grilled chicken. The tray of garlic bread made Mira’s stomach growl. She and Leo filled their plates and sat with her family.

Other wolves walked in with Adam, thanked her family for the food, and filled their plates.Adam sat with a plate at the head of the table and said, “I was talking to your family, Mira, and they’ve offered to stay at the dealership in their RVs and act as our evening security.I can’t tell you how much I appreciate the offer, because we’re stretched thin as it is after increasing our own patrols and having to pull our mechanics off of security details to fix the vehicles.”

“That’s awesome,” Mira said.

“We’re happy to help,” Rami said.

Adam, Rami, and Auron talked about patrol rotations and the gryphons stepping in to watch over the dealership.Apparently, Mira’s uncles were also handymen and offered to help out with cleaning, organizing, and repairing anything that needed tending to while the mechanics worked.

Mira let the voices fade away and focused on Leo.Every time she looked at him, she felt warm all the way through her body. She was falling hard for him even though it had only been a week.

A hell of a week.

When dinner wrapped up, her family packed up the food and put it in the employee cafeteria, and then worked on settling in for the night shift.

Her mom walked her out of the dealership to Leo’s truck, where Adam was waiting with Solan in the SUV next to it.“It’s been a long day for everyone, honey,” Layla said.“Go rest well, take care of your mate. We’ll see you tomorrow.”

“Be safe, Mom.”

She smiled and hugged Mira.“I’ve waited so long to hear you call me Mom.I love it.And I love you.”

Mira’s heart swelled.“I love you, too.”

She waved to Selene, who was sweeping the dealership lobby, and got into the truck with Leo.

“Let’s get home,” she said, buckling up.

He let out a low, appreciative growl, and heat curled through her.“I’ve been waiting all day to have you to myself.I’m not going to waste a second.”
