I’ve never been with another woman since her, and the way she’s working my dick, I might fall into the one-minute club.

A knock rattles off the door behind us, and I’m not sure if I’m thankful for it saving me from the tormenting thought, or if I’d rather grind the owner’s bones into dust.

“What?” I bark against her lips, and her movements stop, but she doesn’t release me.

“You need to see this,” Rex shouts from the other side.

She slides her hand from my waistband, and I tuck myself back together, pulling up the zipper.

“Make it quick,” I call out, and the doors burst open, hitting off the meeting room wall.

I wasthisfucking close to sinking into her heat, it’s got my dick painfully straining in my pants.

Indie gasps. “Your belt!” She eyes the ground, then back at me.

“I’m leaving it there in case I need to fucking choke him with it.”

She bites her lip, glancing at the ground whilst her cheeks heat.

See, hasn’t lost herself entirely.

When Rex reaches us, he flips his phone around, the screen showing the news from just a few minutes ago.

The reporter’s voice booms across the room.

“We’ve had reports that a man has been found shot dead in his home of Carronwood. Seventy-year-old Billy Ryans had been reported by his neighbour due to concerns the elderly man hadn’t been seen in a number of days. Police arrived at the scene and discovered his body in the hallway of his home, shot at point-blank range at his front door. It’s unclear at this time what instigated the murder, but this comes just over a week after a home in the same street had a gas explosion, killing the two owners inside.”

When Rex locks his phone, the room falls deathly silent, my dick instantly going limp with the tension deepening as each of us realise exactly what this means.

“Did you know him?” I ask Indie, and she nods her head, her eyes still wide as her mind processes.

“Yeah, kind of. He was like a neighbourhood watch. He saw everything that happened in our street…H-he was watching us the night we left our house. I saw him from the car.”

I run a hand through my hair.

If he spotted us, that means Omnia know Indie and Regina weren’t in the house.

They know they’re still alive.

And if he’s described who’s taken her away?

They’ll definitely know it was us.

Fuck.

That kind of information gets back to them, they’ll work things out pretty fucking quickly from here on out, and it won’t take long for them to know Indie and Regina were behind the deaths of some of their lower members.

And that we have them.

When Indie’s gaze falls on mine, she doesn’t look as rattled as I’d expect her to be, not the way Regina looks shaken to her core, but there’s still a glint of unease in her eye.

I shouldn’t feed it, but I need her to wrap her head around just how fucking serious this is, without scarring her for life with the evidence we have.

“And that, Indie, is why you definitely can’t fucking go.”
