Spencer laughed, pulling me into his arms. “I am pretty fucking sure, princess.”
“You seem more lucid right now,” Bear commented.
“I think so, but I don’t think it’s going to last that long,” I admitted. “All I wanna do is gather up all my nest stuff.”
“Well, you can't do that yet. I think you're stuck here for a little bit,” Bear said, glancing pointedly to where Spencer and I were joined.
“Maybe five minutes,” Chase said teasingly.
Spencer glowered at his pack mate. “Twenty, more like it. My knotisn’ta fast deflator. Just because you’re a three-minute menace…”
Burying my head in Spencer’s shoulder, I bit back a grin. There was something about their easy teasing of one another that made me relax. It felt painfully normal.
I wanted some normalcy in my life.
Spencer gently ran his hand down my back, whispering sweet nothings to me as we waited for his knot to go down.
Instead, I found it insanely pleasurable and relaxing. Every few minutes, my walls fluttered around his knot with aftershocks from the mind-blowing orgasm. Judging by the way Spencer’s eyes rolled into the back of his head, it felt as good for him as it did for me.
When Spencer pulled out of me almost thirty minutes later, I whimpered at the loss, my pussy crying out for more as my stomach clenched uncomfortably.
My heat.
“I probably don’t have long,” I admitted. Omegas got lost in their heats. Feral for knots and caring about nothing else.
“We’ll take care of you,” Bear insisted.
“I trust you,” I admitted, looking between the three of them sleepily.
“You’re nesting,” Spencer said, tucking a lock of hair behind my ear. “Why don’t we sort that out while Chase getsus some snacks? Heats can last several days, and you need sensible snacks.”
“As long as ‘sensible snacks’ don’t include those protein bars that taste like chalk,” I mumbled, scrunching my nose.
“I make no promises,” Spencer smiled.
He followed me to my room, where I started rifling through my piles of bedding. The space needed to be just right. The bed wasn’t gigantic, but it was big enough to do the job. I wouldn’t be able to fit all three of my alphas on the mattress without them having to be a gigantic puppy pile.
We would make it work.
My body was vibrating with a million different new-to-me sensations. Pleasantly sated, excited for more, and general exhaustion and eagerness. So many conflicting emotions were rioting inside me, my omega side, which I had suppressed for so long, rearing its head with a vengeance.
I laid down several fluffy sheets. They were good, but they weren’t the exact thing I needed. Something deep inside me was itching.
“What are you after?” Spencer questioned as my hands hovered over the bedding.
I turned to him, biting my lip. I shouldn’t have felt awkward asking for what I needed, given everything we had just discussed and done, but I couldn’t stop myself.
“Can I take some of your clothing?” The nesting materials Spencer had insisted I buy were lovely, but I needed their scent close to me. The little voice in the back of my head insisted that, if I didn't have it, the nest would be ruined.
“What’s mine is yours,” he insisted. “And I’m pretty sure the guys agree. Go take whatever you want for your nest.”
I didn’t second-guess him. Padding out of the room, I made my way to Bear’s room first. Anxiety was gnawing at me. I hadnever been through a heat with alphas, but I knew what to expect. If the orgasms they had already given me were anything to go by, I was going to have an amazing time.
That didn’t stop my stress.
Instead of heading toward the closet, I made a beeline for the laundry basket. The first thing I grabbed was a T-shirt he had worn the day before. With it pressed against my nose, I inhaled. It had the perfect level of that sweet, heady pumpkin bread scent that I was obsessed with. Humming happily, I continued digging. Their clothing would be perfect for my nest.
I had loved Bear’s room from the first night I stayed at the apartment when I had crawled into his bed. Everything about his scent and space screamed comfort, with dark hunter-green sheets and dark wooden furniture.
