“And we’ve done hand stuff a couple of times.”

“When the fuck was that?” Lil’s eyes go wide and then drop to our linked pinkies. “You’ve washed this since then, right?”

“No, not at all,” I say with an eye roll, pulling my hand from hers.

Lil leans back in the chair, staring and waiting.

“What?” I ask, forgetting where we were.

“When did you do hand stuff?”

“Oh, right. After his fight and then a few nights ago.”

“Why didn’t you tell me?” she asks, clearly hurt.

“I don’t know. It was harder than I thought it would be to bring up. He’s your cousin, so…”

“Yeah, but I’m going to try and block that part out. Has it been good? Like decent O good?”

“It’s been amazing. Big O. Every time.”

“Good. We can’t both have mostly shitty sex stories.” She lets out a deep sigh. Lil has not had good luck in that department. “I would have to kick his ass if he wasn’t getting you off,” she says in a way that makes me think she really would try. I love her for that.

“He uh, figured out what he was doing pretty fast.”

“Wait, he didn’t… are you saying he didn’t already have experience?” she asks, her mouth hanging open like a fish.

Shit.“Don’t tell him I told you that.” I point my finger at her threateningly. As threatening as a finger with chipped, pale pink nail polish on it can be, at least.

“Wait, like nothing at all?”

I shake my head.

“Damn. I expect a guy like Parker to be inexperienced, you know? He’s so shy and got so far ahead in school he was never around girls his own age. He hasn’t been on a date since he joined the crew, as far as I can tell.”

I glance at the camera again, trying to send a challenge to Parker to figure his shit out and shoot his fucking shot, because Lil deserves someone who worships the ground she walks on. And that dipshit does, even if he won’t admit it. I don’t bother mentioning his crush on her being the main reason he doesn’t date, though. The few times I’ve brought it up resulted in Lil laughing so hard I thought she might die. Instead, I make a humming noise before she continues.

“But Luca? Holy shit.” She tilts her head. “Are you ready for more?”

I shrug and take a sip of my coffee. “I still have to work up the courage for that, you know? He hasn’t seen my scars yet.” Lil starts to talk again but shuts up when Luca steps outside.

Chapter 46

I'm not eating these veggies. Just saying

Even though a lot has changed when it comes to Luca, I still enjoy annoying him. A lot. And Lil enjoys it even more. So we decide to drag him down The Finch Hills Farmers Market.

“Why exactly are we here?” Luca asks. He does not look excited.

Lil, on the other hand, looks very excited. “So many reasons, Luca. The fresh produce, the handmade candles, the boba tea, the gyros, and the ice cream, to name a few.”

“Yeah, none of that sounds like it’s worth dealing with all those people. And you’re not here for the fresh produce.” He’s looking around, doing his threat assessment thing. And also his ‘grump ass, I hate people’ thing. I watch him, doing my ‘god, my boyfriend is hot’ thing. It’s a new thing, but I’m pretty sure I’ve already perfected it. Because damn, my boyfriend is hot. And he’s very good with his tongue.

Okay, we haven’t officially put a label on it. But he’s obviously more than just our ‘babysitter.’

When his gaze drops to mine, I blink a few timesand mentally shake the memories of his face between my legs out of my head before I get lost in them and clear my throat. “The cheese curds and iced coffees are worth it.”
