Sarah gave Isabelle a sad smile and then stood up. The dress she had on was tight, and Isabelle could clearly make out her pregnancy bump. Quincy took Sarah’s hand and led her to the door.

“You’re never going to see her again,” he said, turning to look at Isabelle. “But don’t worry, I’ll take good care of her.”

Isabelle didn’t reply. She had nothing to say to Quincy. There was nothing she could do to change the situation or to make him change his mind.

“I love you, Sarah,” she said instead, addressing her daughter.

“I love you too, Ma,” Sarah replied.

Quincy shook his head and pulled Sarah out of the room. He closed the door, and Isabelle could hear it locking from the outside. She listened to their footsteps fading away, her heart breaking as she listened to her daughter disappear from her life. Isabelle believed Quincy when he told her that she would never see Sarah again. She knew Sarah would try her best to get help for her, but Isabelle honestly didn’t think it would be possible. Quincy was ruthless, and she doubted that he would ever let Sarah out of his sight.

Now that Sarah was gone, Isabelle didn’t have to be strong anymore. She had nobody to take care of and no hope for herself. All she could do was hope that her daughter would find a way to survive and that her son was alive somewhere. Isabelle started crying and made no attempt to stop herself.

She didn’t care who heard or what they would think. She knew that the men would come and demand things from her and take things from her. She knew that they would never stop until she was dead. Knowing all of these things still didn’t prepare her for when the door opened, and Brian stepped inside.

“See you’re all alone now,” he said with a laugh. “Don’t worry, I’ll keep you company.”

Isabelle sucked in her breath, almost choking on her cries. Brian was a horrible man, almost as bad as Quincy.

“You know, Quincy told me what his plans are for your daughter. I’m not gonna share them with you, though.” He laughed again, walking closer to her. “In fact, there’s only one thing that I’m going to tell you.”

Isabelle desperately wanted to know what Quincy had told Brian about his plans for Sarah. She knew asking Brian wouldn’t be any good. He wouldn’t tell her. He was way too loyal to Quincy to betray his trust.

“Before Quincy left, he told us that we could do whatever we wanted with you and that when we are done, we can kill you and dispose of your body.”

Despite her horrible circumstances, Isabelle did not want to die. Maybe it was instinct, or maybe she was still holding on to hope that she could somehow get away and save her daughter. “Who would keep all of your men company then?” she asked, playing the only card she had.

“You are pretty and a lot of fun, but there are many women out there who are younger and prettier. We’ll simply replace you.”

He lowered himself onto the bed and sat down next to her. “Maybe Quincy will even get tired of Sarah and bring her back for all of us to enjoy after Sarah has the baby.”

Isabelle let out a cry, unable to contain it. The idea of Quincy bringing Sarah back to all of his men horrified her. Surely, he wouldn’t do that. He wanted to marry her, after all,and he wanted to have more kids with her. Quincy was evil, but hopefully, he would at least keep Sarah to himself.

“Oh, you did not like that idea at all, did you?” Brian laughed as he moved closer to her. “Don’t worry, you won’t be around long enough to find out if it happened or not.”

Quincy hated Isabelle with a passion and loved the look on her face when he told her that she would never see her daughter again. He did not regret his decision to tell Brian and his men that they could get rid of her when they were done with her. He would get them a new girl. Hell, he would get them two. They already had the room set up, after all.

“Where are we going?” Sarah asked as he led her out of the cave.

“Don’t you worry about that, sweet thing,” Quincy replied, squeezing her hand. “I’ve got it all planned out.”

“I wasn’t worried,” Sarah said. “Just curious.”

Quincy raised a brow as he looked her up and down. Even after spending so much time with her, he still wasn’t sure how clever Sarah was. She was absolutely gorgeous and easy to talk to, but he was worried that she had a little bit of her mother in her. Sure, he didn’t trust her, but he really wanted to. His idea was to give her a great life, and he hoped that she would allowhim to do that. He hoped that she never made him hurt her because he would if he had to, and he would hate that.

Deciding not to give her any factual information, Quincy settled on answering her question without going into detail. “We, my dear, are going home. Do you remember that week when I wasn’t here?”

Sarah nodded. “Of course I do.”

“Well, I went to find the house for us.”

“A real house or another cave?”

Sarah was looking at him expectantly, clearly hoping that he wasn’t planning on making her and the baby live in a cave.

“A real house,” he informed her. “It was difficult to find the perfect one. I needed it to be closer to town but still far enough away to be secluded. Can’t have anybody know where we are living, now can I?”
