“That I don’t have twin sisters you have to meet next.”

She laughs at me. “I think all you need to do is bring two tickets to a home game and you’re in with the men in my family.”

“I can do that.” I wink.

“Braids?” Molly asks.

“Yes, please,” I sing-song with a full smile on my face, looking up at her as I sit on the edge of the bed. She kneels behind me, gently brushing my hair.

Jade moves around the dorm room wrapped in a towel, rummaging through her closet as she figures out what to wear. Her phone pings from the bed, and she glances at the screen.

“Trixie’s not making it,” she says, reading the message, then bursts out laughing.

“What else did she say?” I ask, curiously.

“Read the message,” Jade replies between giggles.

I pick up my phone that’s sitting on the bed beside me.

Trixie: Can’t make it. I had to go to campus early. Rachel, I passed your boyfriend through the quad, guessing he was coming back from the gym. OMG, he shouldn’t be allowed to wear gray sweatpants in public…hot. You are one LUCKY lady. #newpantiesneeded

Me: Stop ogling my boyfriend!

Trixie: Not even sorry.

Molly snorts, from over my shoulder. “She didnothashtag that.”

Jade laughs at the messages, throwing her phone back onto the bed. “I’m so glad you and Randy sorted everything out. The love that man has for you is undeniable,” Jade says, tugging on a pair of shorts and flopping onto her bed. “And you can see it in the way he looks at you. That man is smitten, and it’s all kinds of perfect.”

I feel Molly pause behind me, her fingers still tangled in my hair. “She’s right,” she says softly. “We can all see it, and we love that for you. Especially with how broken you have been this past month.”

Jade nods as she picks up a hairbrush beside her. “Seriously, Rach. You and Sam deserve someone who makes you happy. And Randy is that man.”

I blink, caught off guard by the tenderness in her voice. “Sam is so happy. He talks about Randy like he hung the moon.”

“That’s so sweet,” Jade swoons.

Knock Knock.

Jade grins as she stands. “That’ll be your man. Let’s hope he’s still wearing those gray pants.”

Molly taps at my head. “Hair’s done.”

“Thank you.”

Jade swings open the door, greeting Randy, then lets him in with a depraved look tossed our way. And there he is—my sexy man. Damp hair, tight shirt, and gray sweatpants. I’m torn between bursting out laughing at Jade’s reaction, or melting into a puddle from how ridiculously hot he looks. He is the reason gray sweatpants should come with a warning label.

“Hey, baby. Hey, Molly,” he says, flashing his usual charm and swagger as he steps into the room. He heads straight for me, pulling me into a claiming kiss that leaves no doubt I’m his.

“Ready to go?”

“Yup,” I reply, reaching for my bag.

“You guys coming with us?” He asks Jade and Molly, taking my backpack and throwing it over his shoulder.
