A minute later, Kitt returned, this time without his paperwork, while adjusting his already perfect tie.

“Sorry, but I can’t risk misplacing those files. Now, what is it that you want from me?”

He stepped up next to the bed, close enough that I could touch him if I wanted. The sight of his tie, with its pristine Windsor knot, infuriated me.

Suddenly overcome with pettiness, I sat up and grabbed that perfect tie, using it to yank Kitt down and force him to bend at the waist so our faces were only inches apart.

“I want you to fuck me.”

The feel of the crude word escaping my lips brought a sense of satisfaction, which only doubled when I noticed the knot of his tie slip out of place.

“I want to know what it’s like to actually enjoy being with someone and not have to fake it. Everyone else gets to know that pleasure. Hell, Clay is probably enjoying it right now. So why can’t I?”

Kitt braced his hands on the bed to keep from falling over but made no other move to come closer. “I see. And how can I help with that?”

This time, I actually growled in frustration. Fisting my hands in the lapel of his suit, I smiled when I saw the way the fabric wrinkled as I pulled him down onto the bed.

Kitt even managed to fall gracefully. Instead of ending up in a tangled heap of limbs as I probably would have, he landed cleanly on his back right in the middle of the mattress. I took the opportunity to climb on top of him, straddling his waist as I leaned down and kissed him.

I’d also been the one to initiate our kiss in the gym, but it had been so spontaneous and unplanned that I couldn’t savor it. Just as I’d gotten over my shock of what I’d done, it had ended, and I’d been left with nothing but a pleasant memory.

This time, I intended to take it slow and thoroughly enjoy myself.

His mouth was softer than I remembered. Pliant lips easily molded to mine, sealing us together and opening just enough to invite me to deepen the kiss on my own. I eagerly accepted the invitation and pressed my tongue into his mouth. His own tongue was scorching against mine, and teasingly playful in away I hadn’t expected. It encouraged me to chase, drawing me deeper into the kiss until I was moaning against him.

Then, only when I was as committed to the kiss as I could possibly be, he pushed back. His tongue slipped right past mine and invaded my mouth, dominating the kiss with fierce energy. A shiver formed at the base of my skull and traveled down my spine, all the way to my toes and back up before forming a pool of liquid heat deep in my gut.

Arousal held me in its grip as though someone had reached right inside my brain with an iron hand and ripped control of my body away from me. I couldn’t stop myself from rutting against Kitt, desperately seeking some form of friction against my aching cock.

If Kitt noticed, he made no effort to stop me. His only response was to thread his fingers through my hair and tip his head to the side so he could kiss me even harder.

It felt like we kissed for hours but couldn’t have been more than a minute or two. I was panting so hard when we parted, one would have thought that we’d already had sex if it weren’t for the arousal between my legs that was clearly still unsatisfied.

“Fuck,” I gasped as I leaned my forehead against his, trying to catch my breath.

Kitt didn’t say a word except for a vague hum of agreement as he stroked his hand through my hair.

So that’s what a kiss was really supposed to feel like?

No wonder Clay had literally jumped into Logan’s arms for it. I probably would have, too, if I had something this pleasurable every day and then it was suddenly cut off.

As I waited for my senses to return to normal, I clung to Kitt’s shoulders for support. The soft material of his suit slid over his firm muscles that easily supported my weight as I lay directly on top of him. The man’s neat and tidy appearancereally was misleading. Under that polished exterior lay a secret powerhouse that most people would never know.

Wait a minute…

As I lay there feeling the strength of the body underneath me, realization dawned on me.

I sat up just enough to look Kitt in the eye with a suspicious gaze.

“That was too easy.”

I knew I was right when he didn’t ask what I meant and instead, just smiled at me.

Sitting up, I punched him in the shoulder.

“You- you- you?—”

With each stuttered word I punched him again, but my blows had no more affect than if I’d hit him with a feather duster.
