Mira’s cheeks turn an even deeper shade of pink as she tilts her head down and drops my gaze. “You’re such a flirt.”

That won’t do. I don’t want this woman who consumes my thoughts to believe this is just some flirtation. Hell fucking no. This is the real deal. “Nah, Mir. I’m not flirting, I’m being completely serious. Ever since you moved in, it’s like my world is brighter. I want to be around you every second of the day to soak you up. When I’m on the road with the guys, I miss the hell out of you. This isn’t flirting. This is me telling you I don’t want to live without you.”

My wife opens her mouth to say something, sucks in a breath, then stares at me. No words escape her lips. I think I’ve broken her. As she blinks those pretty eyes at me, a grin tugs at the corner of my lips, growing wider with every second she sits there, at a loss for words. I scoop some veggies onto her plate and slice up some chicken. When I’m satisfied she’ll have enough, I say, “Eat, beautiful.”

Mira holds my gaze for a few beats before shaking her head and spearing a piece of roasted asparagus. The hum she makes when she chews fills my chest with a proud warmth.

“This is really good, Griffin. I knew you liked to cook, but this is fancy.”

“It’s easier than it looks,” I tell her. “The trick is cooking the chicken in the air fryer so the skin gets extra crispy and using the right ratio of balsamic glaze on the veggies.”

She blinks at me, chewing her food. With another grin, I focus on my plate and dig in. It really is good, and I can’t help the pleased groan that slips from my lips.

Mira shifts in her seat, her cheeks flushing slightly.

“So, sunshine, tell me about what you’re working on right now? I want to hear all about it.”

Those stunning green eyes of hers rise to meet mine, and she smiles. “I’m almost done with this website for the most fun baseball team ever. You’d love them. They do choreographed musical numbers throughout their games, and they’re so funny.”

I hang on every word she speaks, just like always. I’m obsessed with this woman, after all. And no matter what it takes, I’ll prove I’m exactly what she wants and needs.

What in theheck is with all this new monogrammed crap? Was it here last night, and I was too tired to notice, or did some snooty, rich-person fairy drop them off while we were sleeping? Like the tooth fairy, but in reverse—and if the tooth fairy had a weird obsession with embroidery.

Eyeing the fluffy white towel withM.W.emblazoned on the lower corner in a loopy, black script, like it may bite me on the ass, I take in the damp towel Griffin must have used this morning that saysG.W.in the same spot. Then my eyes catch on the hand towels emblazoned withMr.andMrs.

What. The. Fuck?

I’m tempted to text Griffin to demand answers, but he’s at the arena, and I can’t risk my brother seeing any of our exchange. Shaking my head, I dry off, wrap the towel around my damp body, and pad over to the linen closet inside the bathroom to see if I can find a towel that doesn’t have my initials monogrammed on it. Thewronginitials.

Stacked neatly in crisp lines are more white bath towels, and I groan because I just know they’re all the same. I pull a few outanyway and can’t help laughing at what I find. Because, yes, all these ridiculous towels are monogrammed with our initials, but half have aWas the last initial and half of them have aG.When Griffin said before that he would change his last name to Graves if I wanted, I thought he was joking.

Maybe he wasn’t.

Warmth floods my chest, and my cheeks hurt from smiling.

This idiot.

I can’t stop smiling the entire time I get ready for the day, and my lips are still curved when I sit down to finish the website I’ve been working on. And four hours later, when my phone buzzes with an incoming text message, I’m still grinning.

Sitting up straight and twisting my back to give it a crack, I open my messages to find one from Lexi.

Lexi

Hey, girl! Want to get lunch today? I need a break from these online classes. I swear, I’m going stir crazy.

My stomach chooses that moment to growl, making my answer an easy one. My eyes are blurry and dry from staring at the computer screen, and I could use some fresh air. Plus, it’s been so long since I’ve had girlfriends to hang out with, I’ll always jump at the opportunity to spend time with Lexi or Isla.

Me

Yes! That sounds great. I can leave right now if you want. Where should we meet?

Lexi

Halle-frickin-lujah. Meet at that little ramen place on Eat Street?
