“Sure, Auntie.” She gives me her full attention and I explain everything so she will understand. What I want to do and her role in it. That she will be the face of this and everything. What I didn’t tell Victor was everything made from this would go into her bank account as well. That she can even help me put them together and even drop them off if she’s not in school. Before I’m even finished she has an excited look on her face clapping her hands together. I think the idea of a photoshoot sealed the deal for her.
“So what do you think? You don’t have to say yes if you don’t want to do it.” She gets up from her seat and flings her arms around me squealing.
“Yes! I want to help. When can we start Auntie? Do I get to go shopping for a pretty dress again for the pictures? This is going to be so much fun.”
She's talking a mile a minute, making me laugh. “How about this, since you're my partner in this we can start planning on Saturday. I still have to ask Auntie Skylar if she can make up some stuff for it after we get the pictures done. How does that sound?” I'm already compiling a list in my head of stuff I need to have ordered. I already have a logo in mind as well. I have a feeling this is going to take off. Im excited to start and judging by my new partner's face she feels the same way. She gives me another big hug.
“I love you, Auntie Bella. Thank you for taking me shopping. Uncle Victor doesn't like to come to the mall, he gets all mad and growls at people. Do you think we will come again?” She has a hopeful look on her face as if I would tell her no.
“Anytime you want to come I'm more than happy to take you. We can be shopping buddies. Why don't we pick up your Uncle some food and head home? We have to put all your stuff away before we do our nails.” She gets up so fast, practically dragging me back to the taco stand. Getting Victor's order we head for the car. At this point, my feet are dragging and I'm in desperate need of a coffee. Buckling Katya in, we head for home. Five minutes into the drive I look in the mirror and notice she's sound asleep. Turning down the music so it doesn’t wake her. All that shopping must have tired her out. Pulling in the driveway, I shut the engine off and got out. As gentle as I can be I lift her out not wanting to wake her. Victor must have heard me pull in because he's got the door wide open coming down the steps. He gently kisses me.
“Hey, let me just lay her on the couch, and I'll come back for the bags.”
“I'll grab them for you, don't worry.” he walks to my car, opening the trunk.
Ya, he says that now just wait till he sees everything we got. Walking in the front door I turn right into the living room placing Kat down on the pillow. Placing the throw blanket on her I tuck her in and place a kiss on her forehead. Not once does she stir. I turn in time to see Victor hauling all the bags in one go, walking towards the dining room to place them on the table. Closing the door behind him I make my way to him.
“Holy shit! What did you guys do, buy the whole mall out? How was your girls' day?” I walk over to him and he wraps his arms around me. Pulling back a bit I look at him.
“We may have gone a little overboard but that girl knows how to shop. We had a really good time together. I also spoke to her about what we were talking about earlier and she's excited to do it. Now, I don't know if the prospect of doing a photoshoot is what sold her or if it was getting to go to the mall for a new dress for it.” We both laugh at that. He seals his lips on mine, making us both groan. Pulling back I told him what I wanted to do since we've been gone. “I missed you today.”
“I missed you too baby. Now, why do I smell tacos?” Laughing I pull out of his arms and walk to the many bags, pulling out his food.
“We picked you up something to eat before we left. I figured you haven't eaten yet, since I see you just paused your game.” Lifting my eyebrow at him knowing what he's been doing all day. I take out his food and place it on the island, grabbing him a soda. Turning around I go about making a coffee.
“Thanks for the food and you're right I didn't stop to eat yet. Besides I don't have anything to do with my arm healing so why not play.”
We hear little feet running, well that nap didn't last long. Sipping my coffee Katya runs in, going into detail about today and all the things we bought including his gift. This right here these moments we spend together is something I'll cherish for the rest of my life. I'm so glad I took a chance that day in my apartment. I know if I didn't, I would be walking away from the greatest thing to happen in my life.
Chapter 7
I'm just putting the finishing touches on the appetizers for our BBQ today with everyone. I’m excited to see what logo Sky came up with. I called her that same day and went into detail about what I was planning. She said she would have some mock-ups made for me today. I've already got all the stuff ordered and it should be on its way. Once we have those we can do a photoshoot with Katya which she's excited about. Rhylie offered to take the pictures for me as well. We just have to find a pretty backdrop for it. I took Kat to her tea party at the school the other day. All her little friends were so excited to see her. She got to show off her new dress and couldn't stop talking about her new cupcake business. To watch little kids try and act like grown-ups was the funniest thing I've ever seen. I took enough pictures that day to last a lifetime. For the last two days, both Victor and Katya have been having secret conversations and every time I would enter the room they would stop talking. I asked them once and all I got was giggles and it's a surprise. I'm a little excited to see what they are planning. I can hear Victor and Isabella talking and laughing in the backyard. He's out back grilling for everyone speaking of the doorbell rings just then and walks in the whole group. Bringing in platters and drinks with them. “Hey, guys Victor is outback manning the grill.'' The guys make their way out to him leaving just me and the girls in the kitchen.
“Hey girl, how's It going? Here we brought you an iced coffee” Rhylie gives me a hug stepping aside to let Faith and Skylar to hug me as well.
“Thank you, I really needed this. It's going well. Just getting excited to start the cupcake boxes. I've got everything ordered.”
“Speaking of, I have a few logo designs for you to go over later, and once you pick we can get all the promotional material done.”
“Thanks, Sky, I can't wait to show them to Katya. She's so excited to be doing this she told all her little friends at school about it already. Though I think it has to do with more of getting a new dress and her picture taken. Let's head outback. I have everything set up at the table.” We walk out the back door where I see all our guys by the grill. Sitting down at the table Faith nudges my arm. Looking over at her she's wiggling her eyebrows up and down making me laugh.
“So how are things going with Victor, give us all the details.”
I can feel myself blushing. Just thinking about all the amazing sex we've been having.
“Oh, girl, I know that blush it must be good,” Rhylie says, making us all laugh.
“It's been perfect. It's everything I wanted and didn't know I needed. Victor and Katya have become such a huge part of my life. I don't know what I'd do without them. Though that man is as stubborn as they come and I have a sneaking suspicion he didn’t need me here full time as he said. But I’ll let him keep his secrets. I ended up right where I was always meant to.”
“Aww, we're so happy for you. Though if you want to blame anyone Mason is probably who came up with that idea. They are partners after all. He was always coming up with bad ideas as kids. Though we weren’t much better, we went along with them.” Faith says.
“What idea did I come up with my oh so beautiful wife.” He bends down kissing her. I realize all the guys are standing behind us.
“Oh wise brother of mine. Isabella was just saying that she thinks Victor told a little lie to get her here. Faith said it was probably your idea to begin with.” Rhylie says, giving her brother a smug look since he’s now got the deer in the headlights look going on. Turning to Victor I see him scrubbing his hands down his face mumbling.
“I'm going to kick your ass, Mason.” Which just sets us all laughing. Looking at Victor I give him a narrowed-eyed look.
“Anything you two want to confess?” I wave my hand around at the two of them, but looking at Mason I'm trying not to laugh at his bug-eyed look and Victor's dead stare wow he has that look perfected.
