“What has you thinking so hard over there Faith?”
“Just thinking about mom and when I have kids someday. All the stories I’ll get to tell them about her.” you can hear the sadness in my voice. I miss her so damn much, it still hurts. But I know she's no longer suffering and that’s what gets me through the day. She’s smiling down at me. I always feel her with me, telling me that everything will be okay.
“Your mom was an amazing woman so you’ll have plenty of stories to tell our kids. How many do you want?”
He says it so casually as if what he just said didn’t rock me to my core. I know we said we wanted forever but we didn’t go this far into our conversation. I didn’t want to assume anything. “You want kids with me?”
“I told you last night that I was in this till the end. So yes, I want to have children with you. As many as you want. I want it all.”
“I want at least two, one boy and one girl. Okay don’t laugh but I already have names picked out. Ryan for a boy and Gracie for a little girl. When I was younger, it’s what I told mom I wanted to name my kids if I ever had them.”
Pulling into the driveway, Mason shuts off the truck and turns to me with a soft smile on his face. “I love them, baby. When we have our kids, that’s what we are going to name them. I love you, Faith.”
“I love you too Mason, so much.” giving me a sweet kiss he gets out and opens my door to help me down. I tried doing it on my own once a few days ago and almost landed on my ass. So now, I always wait for him to help me down. I’m short, so I and big trucks don’t mix. Don’t even get me started on trying to reach the top shelves. Grabbing some bags I head for the front door, unlocking it while Mason hauls in the rest. I don’t mind the shopping part, it's putting away everything I hate.
“Why don’t you put Katya’s gifts together while I put everything else away, then we can head out.”
“Oh thank god! I was dreading putting stuff away! Have I told you lately that I love you?” dramatically fluttering my lashes, he rolls his eyes at me.
“Yeah yeah. Just get your ass moving so we can go. You know how my sister is. If anyone is late, I’ll never hear the end of it.”
He’s so right. Rhylie hates when people are late, yet she does it all the time. Most of the time now it’s because Lucas has made her. She’s so in love with him. I’m just so happy that she finally got what she wanted. Rushing up the stairs, I go into the spare room and collect all the nail kits I made up for the girls. I have them done up in cute little bags and I threw in some chocolates as well. Collecting all of them, I head for the living room so I can put Katya’s gifts in a bag. By the time I’m done. Mason is just walking in with my cheese platter I picked up to take with me.
“You about ready to go? Ry already texted me telling me not to be late dropping you off. Something about a plan when to do nails and shit I’m not sure what she was talking about.”
Laughing and shaking my head I tell him “Ya I just finished putting everything together. Just tell Katya if there’s anything that she doesn’t like, I can exchange it for her.”
Mason’s giving me a soft look and says. “Stop worrying so much she’s going to love everything you’ve bought her. Come on, let’s get going.”
Grabbing all the bags, I head towards Mason’s truck, putting them in the backseat. Mason hands me the platter and lifts me inside, kissing me on the lips before closing the door. Mason hops in and backs out of the driveway. “If at any time you want to come home all you have to do is call me and I’ll come to pick you up.”
Grabbing his hand I kiss the back of it telling him “Mason, I’m going to be fine. It’s time I start living my life as my mom told me to. She wouldn’t want me to be stuck inside all the time being sad.”
We sit in silence after that and it doesn’t take us too long to reach Rhylie’s house. As we are pulling in the driveway, I can see Lucas kissing the shit out of Ry. “Does he have to do that in front of me? That’s my damn sister. I don’t want to see that shit.”
“Leave them alone, they are in love; you should be happy for your sister.”
Snickering at him, he gets out to open my door and slams his door loud enough that it scares Rhylie and she jumps from Lucas’s arms. He’s such a shithead. When he opens my door he’s got a smirk on his face so I know he did that on purpose. “You're such a shithead, you know that right.”
“They stopped, didn't they? Now kiss me before you go.”
He doesn’t have to ask me twice. Grabbing him by the front of his shirt I pull him towards me and he slams his lips down on mine, dominating my mouth. There’s no other word for it, he’s taken complete control and it’s so damn hot when he does. Biting his bottom lip I pull away breathless.
“I love you and I’ll see you later.”
Helping me down he kisses my forehead. “I love you too Angel.” Grabbing the bags I head for a grinning Ry. “So, when’s the wedding? Because after that display, there’s no way he’s letting you go now.”
Narrowing my eyes at her, I give it back “So when can I expect to have nieces and nephews?”
Rhylie’s got this deer in the headlights look going on. I turn to Lucas who has a shit-eating grin on his face. “You're pregnant,” I whisper, my throat clogging with emotion. I can feel Mason step behind me. Lucas pulls Rhylie to his side and kisses her head.
“Ya, we just found out. I still have to go to the doctor next week but the test came back positive.”
After hugs, kisses and congratulations are passed around. Both Rhylie and I have tears streaming down our faces. I can hear the emotion in Mason's voice when he speaks. “I’m so happy for you guys. You're going to be an amazing mom Ry. Mom and dad would be so proud of you.”
“Thank you, Mason. Alright now, it’s time for girls’ day, so you guys get gone. And don’t worry I’ll lock up as soon as you leave. Skylar and Isabella should be here any minute now.”
Turning to Mason he lightly kisses my lips. “Bye Angel, I’ll see you later. I love you.”
