After walking away from my brother and Lucas, I go to my home office to finally get some work done. I got the ad out for a part-time baker and already got a few interests so my day is already looking up. I have some interviews set up for later this week though after speaking with one girl Isabella she has the most potential and I can't wait to see what she can bring. I have a very good feeling about her. My cafe is doing really well and I couldn't be happier with how it's all going. I may just have to hire more counter help if the baking takes off even more. Hearing my office door opening I look up and spot Lucas leaning against the door with my coffee cup in his hand.
“ I brought you a peace offering. I know you needed time to cool off after everything that happened, so I didn't want to bug you earlier. Besides, it looks like you could use a little break.”
Walking closer to me he sets my cup down at my desk lifting me into his arms. I love getting hugs from him. He makes me feel so safe as if nothing bad can happen to me. He pulls back to look at me and what I see steals my breath. It's like he wants to devour me like I'm his favorite treat. His gaze goes from my lips to my eyes and back again. He slowly lowers his head towards my lips giving me time to back off if I wanted to as if that would happen. I've been waiting for this moment forever. The first brush of his lips across mine is nothing but heaven. He does it once twice then grabs my face to hold me to him as if I'm going to leave. He finally lets loose and really starts to kiss me. Licking along the seam of my lip for me to open up, touching his tongue to mine in such a sensual way I can't help but let out a little moan which seems to turn him on even more if the bulge in his pants is anything to go by. Lucas is kissing me like he can't get enough; it went from slow to possessive in a matter of seconds and I'm right there with him. Slowing down the kiss, I let out a little whine because I never want to stop. Breathing heavily he says
“We have to stop Ry before this goes any further. I want to take my time with you the first time and in your office is not where it's going to happen. It will be in our bed where I can spend hours worshiping you like you deserve. Besides I know you have work left to do and I want you to be ready for our date tonight.”
Knowing that I'm embarrassingly wet I agree and take a step back shaking my head out of my lust-filled Lucas fog, it finally registers what he said. “ Date, what date?”
“Me and you Ry I’m taking you out tonight for our first date, so be ready by 6.”
Giving me one last kiss I watch Lucas walk out of my office shutting the door now I'm left standing here freaking out wondering what I'm going to wear tonight screw finishing up my work I need Faith’s help. After calling Faith she was here within twenty minutes leaving the cafe in the capable hands of our employee Skylar. Busting into my office like her ass is on fire she yells.
“ What are you doing, still sitting down, take your ass up to shower we have to get you ready. Then I want details about everything that happened and don't leave anything out.”
I love the girl but maybe this wasn't such a great idea, knowing Faith she's going to put me in something short and revealing lord help me.
“Fine, I’m going but don't even think of going too short or revealing. I don't need the whole world seeing my underwear and please for the love of all that's holy don't put me in any type of heel you know exactly how the night will end. I sprained an ankle the last time I attempted and fell flat on my face. It's something I don't want a repeat of. “Did you see Lucas on your way in?”
“I did. He was running to his house so he could grab a few things. He had me lock the door behind him. He also left a snack he made you so while you shower I'll bring it up. I guess he's freaked out by what happened last night because he was mumbling out something about a better security system here. So we have time to talk and get you ready. Now go jump in the shower while I raid your closet and don't even think of getting out of telling me what went down between you guys because I can see the look you have. I'll grab some drinks while you get showered.”
Faith walks out of the room in a flourish. Rolling my eyes at my bestie, I head to the bathroom for a shower taking my time just trying to find a quiet moment to myself. Everything that has happened in the last twenty-four hours has been a lot to take in and tonight is my first date with Lucas and I just want everything to go perfect. I'm excited to see what we are going to be doing tonight but also nervous at the same time. I just don't want him to take back everything he's said to me today. I may be a confident woman and believe in myself but there's still a little doubt that maybe I’m not good enough or he's going to find me lacking. I have zero experience with men, don't get me wrong, I've gotten myself off before but this will be different. Maybe I just need to get out of my head and just stop overanalyzing everything that could go wrong and just live in the moment like my mom always used to say to me. Lucas says he loves me and I'll just start believing in that and not worry about anything else. I hear a bang on the bathroom door and Faith yelling.
“ Hurry up, you've been in there for forty minutes already, stop overanalyzing everything and get out here already. I'm dying to know what happened.”
Shaking my head I get out and dry off, lathering my favorite lotion all over and throwing on my robe. I better hurry before she decides she's had enough waiting and bursts in the bathroom. Walking into my bedroom I see faith bouncing on my bed with an excited look on her face. When I walk out shaking my head at her I grab the snack and drink she hands me and sit in front of my mirror no doubt she's going to want to do my hair and makeup as well. “Lucas said to try and eat and I figured the beer would help calm your nervousness before tonight.'' This is why she's my best friend; she just gets me like no other.
“Thank you. I'm only slightly nervous” Faith gives me a look like I'm full of shit and she's right, I'm freaking out. “Fine, I'm nervous about tonight. I mean this is our first date. And after confessing that we have been in love with each other since the beginning, it's all finally sunk in you know.”
“You have nothing to worry about Ry, you can tell he loves you just by the way he looks at you. So sit back, relax and let's get you ready for tonight.I want every detail about what was said, and don't you dare hold anything back.”
So for the next two hours, I do just that I tell Faith everything that has happened. By the time I'm done I have my hair slightly curled and my makeup is light. She's picked out my Boho style off the shoulder summer dress since Lucas said I can dress casual which I can still wear my flats with. Both of us aren't fancy-type people so this worked out. I tried to put leggings on but faith wasn't having any of that. I stand in front of my mirror. I have to say Faith did a really good job, turning towards her, I gave her a tight hug. “Thank you for your help getting me ready, I don't know what I would do without you.”
“You know I would do anything for you. Now I'm gonna head out. You have fun and I'll see you tomorrow at the cafe. I want all the details.”
Glancing at myself one last time I blow out a deep breath and head downstairs walking down the last step. I look up and see Lucas in his jeans, a black button-down shirt rolled up so I could see all his tattoos and boots. Walking towards me he leans down and gives me a sweet kiss. “You look beautiful Rhylie, are you ready to go?”
Giving out a breathless “yes” he takes my hand and leads me to his truck after locking my front door. Looking up at him one last time before getting in, I know tonight is the night I want to finally lose my virginity and I wouldn't want anyone else.
