Ohhhh, so that’s why you want me. Are they getting you all horny?
Yes, and it’s damn inconsiderate of my brother.
Logan smiled as he heard Kieran’s giggle in his mind. As he glanced at his brother and David, he realized they weren’t planning to stop any time soon, so clearing his voice, he said, “Zane, I certainly want you to spend time with your mate, but can we have a little talk first?”
Chapter 34
Ignoring his brother’s request, Zane continued to hungrily enjoy his mate, knowing David was now safe from being hunted. Sneaking his tongue between his mate’s perfect lips, swallowing David’s moans, Zane tasted his mate’s heady elixir, sure it would never lose its magic, no matter how long they lived. Feeling his need rise, Zane’s hands burrowed under David’s shirt where they finally found bare skin, caressing the flesh that drew him like a moth to flame. Lost in the private world he was sharing with his mate, Zane’s cock grew hard, seeking release. Twisting and turning, Zane finally had David where he and his cock wanted him—flat on his back with his legs wrapped around Zane’s waist.
Thoroughly amused by the spectacle, Logan nonetheless growled, “Hey, get a room!”
David’s lust-muddled brain finally processed what Zane’s brother was saying; his face turned red as he slowed his pumping against his mate. Embarrassed he’d forgotten they weren’t alone, his need slowly subsided as he came down from his high. Feeling Zane pull back, he looked up at his mate’s face—a shadow of concern was beginning to eclipse the love and need still burning there. Intuitively, David knew what was causing Zane’s worry and, rushing to ease it, he murmured, “Love, your brother is watching us and I think he wants to say something,”
Glancing over his shoulder, Zane saw Logan smirking and waving at him. Growling, he righted himself along with his mate, checking to make sure they were both decent. Deciding to ignore Logan, he said, “We’ll see you at dinner, bro. Thanks for everything. Now if youdon’t mind, my mate and I will leave and be in our suite for the rest of the day.”
“Not so fast,” Logan said, “I think we need to discuss your obligations as a member of the Blackwood Pack.”
“Ahh, why? Jackson hasn’t found fault with my work. In fact, he told me I deserved this vacation because of all the research I did,” replied Zane.
“I’m not disputing that. I’m talking about you disappearing without telling me where you are go…” Logan began.
“It’s not his fault!” David cut in. “I was the one who made him disappear, so blame me.”
“I’m not blaming either of you,” Logan sighed. “And I understand why it happened, but Zane knows better. He should have given me a way to reach him or kept in touch. Right, bro?”
“Right. My only excuse was my need to protect my mate. I’m sorry, Logan, I promise it won’t happen again,” replied Zane.
“I hope not, because I’m thinking I need to put a tracker on both of you,” Logan joked.
Zane felt his mate stiffen at the mention of having it done to him again, so he growled, “Not happening! Someone did that to David and I removed it, so don’t even think it’ll happen again.”
“Wait! You removed it? When?” asked Logan.
“Before we went to see Angus. I threw it in Loch Ness to send Michael off on a wild goose chase,” Zane answered before asking, “You knew they were tracking David? How?”
“Groose found a bio-tracker on the guy we caught in your bedroom and Slate sent it to his people to see if they could find the frequency so we could locate the group he was part of. That’s how we found out Michael and his men were heading for Angus,” replied Logan. “Slate showed me David’s red dot, which was stationary, and all the other red dots heading toward him.”
“Do you have a picture of the bio-tracker the asshole had?” asked Zane.
“Sure,” Logan said, handing his phone over after he’d found it.
“That’s not like the one I removed from David,” Zane said.
“Let me see,” said David, taking the phone and looking at the picture.
“Wait a minute,” Zane continued, “if David no longer had it when we arrived at the Scottish Wolf Pack, it wasn’t David you saw,” Zane said. “How did you know it was my mate?”
“I didn’t know for sure because there wasn’t any name linked to it, but there was only one red dot in the middle of the wolves’ village. And since Angus had told Ian that David was there, we assumed the dot was him,” replied Logan.
Zane looked at his brother, then slapped his hand against his forehead. “Fuck! Of course, that’s it. Is Slate around? I want to see where the red dots are now.”
“What is it?” asked David, as Logan tapped out a text to Slate.
“He’ll be here in a minute. What do you expect to find…or not find as the case may be?” asked Logan.
“Think about it. First, Michael tracks David to Brian’s cottage, right?”
“Right,” Logan and David said in unison.
