“See? Now you know why I wanted you all to go. We are going to have so much fun!” Kieran exclaimed. “Now where are Colton and Ian? Babe, give them a call, tell them to hurry. My feet are ready to dance and my ass is ready to shake.”
Just as Logan was about to send a text, Colton knocked at the door, opened it and entered with Ian at his side. Smiling when he saw Kieran’s outfit, Colton said, “Looking hot, there, Kieran.” Then Colton searched for his brother and his eyes grew wide when he found him. Never, ever, had he seen Logan wear anything like that. Smirking, he knew Kieran was behind his brother’s new look. “Hey bro, love the leather.”
“Fuck off,” Logan growled, picking up his leather jacket and his mate’s pink one. “Hi Ian, how are you tonight?”
“Pretty good,” Ian said, “for now.”
“We might bug out sooner than you guys,” Colton said, “it depends on how tired Ian gets.”
“No problemo,” Kieran said. “Time to go. Chop! Chop! My feet are…”
“Here, babe, put your jacket on,” Logan said, holding it out so his mate could slip his arms into it. Then grasping Kieran’s hand, Logan ushered them all out of his suite and down to the waiting limo, where they all piled in.
“To The Meat Locker,” Logan said to the driver. Then, leaning back and nuzzling Kieran’s neck, he inhaled the scent he loved, half-heartedly listening to the conversation around him; he was busy imagining what he planned to do later that night when he would finally be able to peel those pink fucking shorts off of his mate. Suddenly, he heard their spirit warning him of danger up ahead.
Taking a quick look around, Logan asked their spirit for instructions and after receiving them, he ordered the driver to turn off the main road. Holding Kieran tight, he continued to bark orders until, after many turns, their spirit gave him the ‘all clear’. Breathing a sigh of relief, he told the driver to continue to the club.
Macushla, what was that about?Kieran asked Logan, using their mind link.
Our spirit told me there was danger ahead and gave me the directions to avoid it. It’s gone now, so you’re safe.
Did our spirit say what the problem was?
No, it didn’t know what it was, only that it existed.
Are you okay?
Yeah, I’m okay. Thank goodness for our spirit!
Yup, told you it was very useful.
You sure did babe, love you so much.
Ditto.
Fifteen minutes later the driver pulled alongside a curb and announced their arrival. Kieran peered out, groaning at the long line waiting to get in. “Macushla, look…it will take us forever to get in.”
Grinning, Logan replied, “Maybe…but maybe I can do something. C’mon, everyone out and let’s see if I still have my magic touch.” Taking his mate’s hand, Logan led Kieran and the rest of their group to the head of the line where he greeted the keeper of the rope.
“No skipping,” the guy growled at Logan.
“No problem,” Logan said, handing the man a small folded piece of paper.
After reading it, he said, “Welcome to the Meat Locker, Mr. Blackwood. If you and your party will come this way, I’ll show you to your VIP booth.” Then he motioned to another man to take his place before holding the door open for Logan’s group.
Logan grinned at Kieran as the pounding beat blasted out at them. “Ready to have some fun, babe?” Logan said into Kieran’s ear.
Nodding vigorously, Kieran’s vivid blue eyes sparkled with excitement at throngs of half-naked men moving in time to the beat, hanging cages filled with dancing men wearing tiny thongs that barely hid their junk, multi-color laser beams shooting out in all directions and flashing disco lights synched to the rhythm of the music.
Once they were seated in the VIP section, Colton looked at Logan and asked, “Okay, how did you manage to get us in ahead of everyone else?”
Logan grinned. “Steel owns the club.”
Chapter 26
When lunch was over, Steel hurried to meet Jackson in his study. Dropping off Daniel with Cody and Dylon, he smiled when he thought about the Alpha traits appearing in his son at such an early age. Daniel’s protectiveness towards his cousins was so cute, especially when he growled at anyone who made Jessica cry.
Once in his mate’s study, he saw Jackson leaning back in his desk chair, staring out the window. Alarmed at the tension he felt radiating from his mate’s body, he sat down in a chair next to Jackson and asked, “What’s the problem, babe?”
