I’m in sensory overload. The scent of his raw masculinity. The weight of his ripped torso as his sweat-sheened skin slides over mine. The friction of his length as he slowly rocks inside me. He’s rocking more than just my body. He’s rocking the entire universe as I know it.

Startling eyes observe me from above, radiating a heat so explosive I’m in danger of combusting. His grip on my wrists softens. Firm fingers work the elastic band from my wrist, throwing it across the room. ‘You don’t need that anymore. You have me.’

I nod. There aren’t words.

His hands go to my nipples, and he sighs a sound of pure satisfaction.

Lips part millimetres from mine. I’m certain he’s going to kiss me. Instead, he says three words I never dreamed I’d hear from those smug lips.

‘I love you.’ It’s barely more than a whisper. Earnest eyes blaze with heat and vulnerability.

My heart flips. Core clenches. Legs part further. Fingers dig into his sculpted backside, dragging him deeper inside of me.

Still, I can’t bring myself to say the words. It’s like they’re lodged so far inside of me I can’t coax them out. Instead, I show him.

My lips crash on to his with a newfound urgency, devouring him.

We come together, literally and physically. If there’s a heaven, I think I just found it.

ChapterThirty-Two

JAYDEN

I wake naturally from a deep sex-induced coma with my cheek pressed against Chloe’s magnificent tits.

I probably shouldn’t have told her I loved her last night. It’s not something I planned, but the words tripped off my tongue as easily as water flows from a brimming reservoir. I’m still not really in any position to declare my love for her, not until I can resolve the arrangement with Lula, at least. But I will do, soon. I’m going to make sure of it.

I’ve never told a woman I loved her before. I’ve never told anyone I loved them. I’m not sure I even knew what love was until I found it in the most unlikely place. I’m not bothered she didn’t say it back. I feel it, even if she can’t bring herself to say the words. I’m more concerned about her reluctance to trust anyone, and that’s something I’m going to work on.

Three pounding knocks sound on the door, setting my heart rate spiking.

Chloe mumbles as I prise my cheek from her chest.

‘Chloe?’ Pressing my lips to her neck, I breathe on the sensitive skin below her ear and she wriggles with a giggle. ‘Wake-up sleepyhead.’

The pounding starts again.

Thick lash-framed lids flutter open, treating me to a view of those huge oceanic blue eyes.

‘Who is it?’ I whisper, reluctant to move from my own personal heaven.

Chloe’s hand swats my bare backside. ‘It’s probably only Jacinta from housekeeping.’

‘Jacinta?’ That’s a name I wasn’t expecting to hear. ‘She still works here, then?’

Chloe’s prolonged laughter rattles through her chest, shaking my comfortable foundation.

‘Very funny.’ She had me for a second there. The arrival of the chambermaid I had sex with all those years ago could be slightly awkward.

‘Chloe?’ Sasha calls from the other side of the door.

All traces of laughter vanish from Chloe’s mouth. ‘Quick. Get under the bed.’ She shoves me unceremoniously from on top of her.

My belongings are scattered round the room and I have a monumental need to pee. ‘What about my clothes?’

‘Take them with you, Einstein,’ she hisses.

To Sasha, she calls, ‘One minute.’
