For me, it’s unheard of.

Which is precisely why there’s no way I’m going to let some jumped up travelling companion move in on her now.

Hypocrite.

This is supposed to be a quick fling.

You should let her find someone who has a chance of offering more than you can.

I swat my conscience away, not wanting to hear it.

It took a bit of digging, but I found the company she booked a private collection with and cancelled it. As if I’d miss her arrival. The concert’s in two days’ time. I plan on utilising every free second, starting right now, in the back of the limo Diamond Records hired to transport their biggest rock star.

We’re booked into the same stunning five-star hotel on Sydney Harbour. With a little persuasion in the form of a ticket to my brother’s concert, I convinced the manager to relocate me into the suite next to Chloe’s.

Chloe’s bright eyes dart in every direction, scanning the crowd for her driver. Eventually, they land on me. Time freezes as the air sparks and crackles between us.

I stalk across the room. ‘Welcome to Sydney, Princess.’ As I press a kiss to each of her cheeks, I inhale her familiar scent.

For a woman who’s spent fourteen hours on a plane, she’s as fresh as a daisy.

‘What are you doing here?’ Her forehead furrows in a frown, but her dilating pupils don’t lie.

‘Overseeing my brother’s final farewell concert, the same as you.’ I take her luggage and drop a hand to the base of her spine, attempting to usher her towards the exit.

She resists, her cream, open toe stilettos glued to the spot. ‘Smart ass. I have a car coming to collect me.’

‘Actually, you don’t. I cancelled it.’ I bite back the smirk as her eyes widen in genuine indignation. She might be secretly happy to see me, but she’s still under the illusion she’s in control, something that will rapidly change when I get her into bed later.

‘You’re kidding, right?’ Tanned arms fold across her curvaceous chest and her mouth curls into a grim line, a poor attempt at disdain. I’ve come to recognise that expression well.

‘So, we’re back to this again? You pretending to hate me, right up until the second you slide onto my dick. Because we both know it’s going to happen. Again.’ My breath brushes her ear and goosebumps ripple across her bare skin.

‘Jayden.’ Her pejorative tone does nothing to mask the way her eyes flicker with arousal.

Hundreds of people mill around us, but all I see is her. Everything else fades in her presence. I wrap an arm around her shoulders and draw her in for an innocent-looking hug, pressing my hips against hers, intentionally demonstrating the effect she’s creating in my pants already.

‘Chloe.’ An excited shriek echoes across the room and we dart apart like two wayward teenagers.

Sasha Sexton, Chloe’s sister, and my future sister-in-law, has the worst fucking timing in the world. I subtly attempt to readjust my junk in my pants as they embrace like it’s been years rather than months.

‘Sasha, what are you doing here? You know I prefer to make my own way from the airport.’ Something in her delivery makes me think she genuinely means it.

‘As if I was going to let you land here to nobody.’

When they finally break apart, Sasha’s gaze rakes curiously over me. ‘Jayden. What areyoudoing here?’

‘There were a couple of last-minute technicalities that needed Chloe’s expertise, but I’ll grab her for a few minutes later on. Where’s Ryan?’

‘Back at the hotel. The limo’s missing and Pierce forbade him from going anywhere without tinted windows. The groupies are on high alert with the concert this weekend.’ Her eyes dramatically roll to the ceiling.

‘Itook the limo. I thought you two would never drag yourselves out of the bedroom.’ I shoot her a wink. Ryan says she’s insatiable. I’m hoping it runs in the family. ‘Come on ladies, let’s get back to the hotel. I’m starving.’

I usher the two of them towards the exit.

This time, Chloe doesn’t object, not that I believed her earlier protests for a second.

Sexual tension thrums between us like a live wire. Miraculously, Sasha doesn’t seem to notice.
