She giggles and lowers herself onto the dresser to rest.

Slowly, I pull out of her aching hole. "Fuck, you're bleeding. Did I hurt you?"

"No, shit, I'm still on my period." She turns around abruptly. "I forgot. I'm sorry."

I breathe a sigh of relief and kiss her nose. "Don't ever apologize for being a woman."

Cora practically waddles to the bathroom, and I follow her in to wash my dick in the sink as she uses the bathroom.

She cracks the door to the toilet area. "Hey, toss me a tampon?"

I eye the boxes strewn about on the sink area and grab one at random. "Here." I pass it to her and avert my gaze to give her some privacy.

Cora exits the enclosed area and washes her hands as best she can with the sling confining one of her arms. "This thing is stupid." She slides the strap around her head and tosses it on the counter. "I'm not wearing it."

"Are you sure?" I step toward her. "You're not in pain?"

She shakes her head. "It's sore but it's not painful."

I can't quite tell if she's lying or not. Cora's damn good at pretending everything is fine when it isn't.

"Tell me if that changes, okay? You don't need to hurt for no reason." I tuck her blonde hair behind her ear. "And for the record, I didn't ask to speak to you alone to hook up."

Her gaze flickers between mine. "I know you didn't."

"I still need to know what's going on though," I say. I hate to push her, especially when she's just stopped being mad at me, but I have to figure out how to help her, and I can't if she keeps me in the dark.

"Come on." Cora weaves her good arm around my biceps and tugs me toward the bedroom. She leans in and whispers, "Think they know?"

"Probably. I think the dresser was bouncing against the wall." I follow her through the bedroom and back out into the open area, all eyes on us the second we're through the door.

Cora releases me and takes her spot on the stool she was sitting on earlier. "First things first," she starts. "I'm not wearing that brace." She focuses directly on Silver. "It's bulky and itches and I don't think I need it. Thank you, though."

I walk back to where I was leaning against the counter and wait for what she has to say, my cheeks no doubt flushed from the quickie we just had.

"Secondly, I guess now is the time when I get everyone on the same page. I'm going to tell this story one last time, so listen up because I'm not going to do it again." Cora's eyes settle on mine. "But before I do, you have to promise me that you won't do anything, and you won't tell anyone."

"Why are you looking at me?" I glance at the other guys.

"We've already promised," Alec announces. "Silver and I both have."

Cora stares right into my eyes like she might catch me on fire with just a glare if I don't agree.

"Fine." I throw up my hands even though I'm not entirely sure if I believe the promise I make to her. How am I supposed to sit back and do nothing when Ricardo is causing her harm? I barely have any information, and it's enough to make me want to strangle him to death; if I have the whole truth, who's to say the lengths I will go to make him pay?

"That's not very convincing," Cora says.

"I won't do anything unless I get your official consent, okay?"

"Very well." She sucks in a breath. "A couple weeks ago, Ricardo came to my house and threatened my dad. I overheard them and accidentally stumbled into the room. He was going on about my mom being sick and needing treatment. Treatment that apparently Ricardo was capable of providing."

London raises a finger to interject. "Sorry to interrupt already but Daddy does deal with experimental medical stuff. It's one of his rackets."

"What else do you know?” Cora turns toward her. “Do you know where it is or who does it or anything?"

London shakes her head. "Sorry, I don't. But I can try to find out." She pauses. "That is if he doesn't kill me first." Her intensely green eyes peer right into my fucking soul. "Thanks to you."

I keep my arms crossed over my chest, not saying a word in response. I understand she's furious, but what she doesn't get is that I would do anything for Cora, including put her life in danger. I won't be winning any points with anyone in this room if I say that out loud, though.
