“If it’s who I think it is, they’re expected.”
Kyle arched an eyebrow. “Your team?”
Jamie knew Liam’s team had full access to the cottage, as did his family. The only other person he could think of was the man who hadn’t left Liam’s bedside unless he was forced to.
“Oliver?” Jamie asked as Kyle went to answer the door.
Liam sighed. “I’m trying to make things right with him.”
“Don’t let us get in the way of your night off. We’ll come get you in the morning if your agent doesn’t take you into work.” Jamie tilted his beer in Liam’s direction. “I hope it works out. You deserve to be happy.”
“Sod off,” Liam grumbled.
“No threat,” Kyle announced when he came back into the kitchen, Oliver following right behind him.
Jamie studied the agent curiously for a couple of seconds before deciding it was time to go. “We were just heading out.”
“No need to leave on my account,” Oliver said stiffly.
Jamie shook his head as Kyle pulled two more beers out of Liam’s refrigerator, ignoring Liam’s protest. “We were just dropping Liam off. We weren’t staying long.”
“Only long enough to replenish our beer supply,” Kyle said.
“You have your own beer,” Liam said, his attention more on Oliver than them.
“Yeah, but yours tastes better because it’s yours.” Kyle raised the beer over his head in victory as he left the kitchen. “And now it’s ours.”
Jamie laughed. “I’ll buy you a case and send it over as an apology for raiding your stash. Call me if you need a ride tomorrow.”
“I can drive myself,” Liam told him.
“In that case, I’ll send Katie and she’ll probably bring Samaira.”
Liam’s pained look was worth the threat. “Bloody hell. Sod off with you. I’ll ring you if I need a ride.”
Jamie waved goodbye to both men and let himself out of the cottage. Kyle was lounging against the car, beers in hand, watching Jamie’s approach.
“Never seen Liam look that uncertain around anyone before,” Kyle said.
Jamie took the code-keys out of his pocket and unlocked the car. “They have a history.”
“Yeah, I could tell.”
Jamie grabbed one of the beers from Kyle and leaned down to steal a kiss, bringing up his other hand to cradle Kyle’s jaw. He nipped at Kyle’s bottom lip after breaking the kiss, pitching his voice low. “How about we go home, I put your collar on you, and we have a night in? Sound good?”
The way Kyle looked at him made Jamie wish they were already home.
“Yes, sir,” Kyle said, agreeable in ways Jamie knew they would both enjoy later on, and every night after.

You Can’t Fight Fire with Fire
On Monday, the UMG got a solid lead. It came in well before dawn, and Liam found himself driving back to headquarters with Jamie, Kyle, and Oliver when the sky above was still pitch black.
“Guess you needed that ride after all,” Jamie said as he stayed wedged between their escort while running a red light.
“Stop being smug about getting your way again,” Liam said.
