I felt comfortable in our boundaries. We’d wear protection, and I was the only one allowed to fuck my man.
Nathan cleared his throat and shifted in his seat. “I think I’m going to leave the answer with you, honey.” He faced Kyle. “Ash and I aren’t strangers to receiving that question, but we’re used to subs asking.”
Kyle lifted his brows. “Ah. So you’re into kink.”
“Yes,” Nate answered.
“I have a brother who’s into that,” Kyle said. “I don’t think I can even pretend to be submissive?—”
“And we wouldn’t want you to,” Nate was quick to reply. “We’ve always said no. We haven’t been ready to include a sub. We have some hang-ups, I guess you can say.”
“You’re both Tops?” Kyle pressed. Maybe he was trying to understand.
“I’m vers,” Nathan said. “Ash only tops. But we both identify as Doms in kink settings.”
I scratched my nose. “I reckon it’s time to unleash your Top, baby,” I said. “I think we should go for it.” I shifted my gaze to Kyle. “We won’t fuck without rubbers, and he only bottoms for me. Protection for oral depends on your status. We’re fine going without as long as we got nothin’ to be concerned about.”
He flashed his palms. “No worries. We get screened all the fucking time. I get it. I can probably dig out my last three or four results.”
Then I was ready to take the next step. “Do you have a room nearby?” I’d rather not take him back to our hotel.
“Five or so minutes,” he replied.
Well, then.
On the way to Kyle’s hotel, I sensed that I needed to take charge for Nate’s sake.
I’d watched him gaining more and more respect as a rope rigger; bondage bunnies sometimes lined up to have him as their Top and rigger. But bondage was nonsexual to him. It was an art in which he found peace and control. It was different from what we were doing right this second.
I squeezed his hand and threaded our fingers together, silently telling him I got this.
It was okay.
We had our own little power exchange sometimes, and it went both ways. I took over when he was adjusting to something new and he needed to process, and he took over when I feltdefeated by politics. One of the many reasons we were so damn protective of what we shared. We were each other’s strengths.
The sidewalk was narrow, so Kyle walked ahead of us, giving Nate and me a semblance of privacy.
I pressed my lips to his temple. “Say the word, and we’ll leave at any point. Okay?”
He nodded. “Thank you. I’m just processing. You know how I am. But as long as you and I are solid, I want to try this. I think it’ll be good for us. He feels safe.”
I agreed with him.
The end goal hadn’t changed. We were both Doms. If we ever wanted to explore properly, we had no choice but to broaden our horizons. And maybe a detour outside of kink would be a good step on the way.
We arrived at Kyle’s hotel quicker than I’d anticipated when he veered a sharp left into a building I would’ve dismissed as residential. Regular door, not the revolving kind with someone greeting you outside. Not even a proper lobby. Nathan tightened his hold on my hand as we walked past a small front desk. Was this a hotel or a hostel? I hadn’t even seen a sign outside.
Kyle continued past a set of narrow stairs until we reached the smallest elevator I’d ever seen.
I had to check the weight limit to make sure we wouldn’t break it.
“It’s gonna be a tight fit,” Kyle said with a smirk over his shoulder.
I dropped my gaze to his ass. “I’m good with tight.”
His smirk didn’t go anywhere, and it was easy to see the lust simmering in his eyes.
He entered the car first, and I kept Nathan behind me and pulled him in after I was right up in Kyle’s personal space.
