“Harm…,” Derek whispered as he pressed Derek into the mattress, his weight solid, pressing down on him.Harm paused, their gazes locking.“I’m fine.”He was always worried that he was going to crush him.“I’m not made of glass.”

Harm brushed the hair out of Derek’s eyes before sliding down his body, taking Derek’s cock between his lips in a single movement, sending Derek’s breath flying out of him.He gasped and thrust his hips upward.Harm drove him wild, and Derek arched his back, groaning as Harm made him feel like he was on top of the world. There was nothing that made him happier than Harm, at moments like this, when it was just them. And when Harm slid a finger alongside his cock and then, once slicked, pressed to his opening.

Derek whined softly as Harm’s long, thick finger slid into him.He swore he was seeing double, even though the room was so dark that he could actually see almost nothing at all.Not that it mattered.Harm made him feel, and he loved that and hoped it never ended.“Don’t stop,” Derek whispered.

Harm hummed something and continued taking him deep, surrounding him with wet heat. There was nothing more amazing, and Derek let himself get lost in the sensations. That is, until Harm pulled away.Derek stilled, wondering if something was wrong, but then Harm kissed him hard enough to leave Derek shaking with sheer anticipation. He wanted more, and Harm gave it to him.

A rip of a wrapper, a little fumbling, and then Harm slowly entered him.Derek gasped and held still as his body opened to Harm.He breathed deeply as Harm’s thick cock filled him.“Harm…,” Derek breathed, and Harm stilled for a few seconds before sinking deeper. They were joined, and Derek tugged Harm down into a sloppy kiss that intensified as Harm slowly rocked his hips. The movement had Derek seeing stars, and he held on for an amazing ride.Harm might not be able to speak, but he was a master at communicating how he felt and the care he had for Derek. It easily came through in the way he made love: passionate, caring, loving, gentle, and yet energetic.Perfection for Derek.Harm made him happy, and he could light a fire inside him with just a touch.“I’m right there…,” Derek groaned as Harm followed him over the edge on a wave of desire that seemed to go on and on.

He lay still on the sheets, grinning and holding on to Harm, loving the warmth and his soft breathing.Derek smiled and held Harm’s hand.“Thank you….”

Harm rolled over, stroking his face.“Huh?”It was one of the few intelligible sounds he could make, and Derek understood.

“For being here and for staying with me.Most people would have run away from this kind of mess.I have someone writing poison pen letters and throwing awful stuff in my yard. They’d be gone in a flash and leave me to handle it on my own.”

Harm shook his head and tugged him closer.Derek grew quiet.Sometimes it was comforting not having to say anything, and he snuggled next to Harm, who put an arm around him and held him close.Derek had no idea what the hell was coming next, but he was determined to catch William in the act and get him out of their lives. This was what he wanted all the time, with Harm, but there was no way in hell he could ask Harm to be part of his life with this nightmare hanging over him.

THE FOLLOWINGmorning, Derek was determined to take charge of his future. He was tired of being afraid of what William was going to do next.He ordered another camera for the yard, and while he was at it, motion-controlled lighting. If William decided to pay a return visit, he was going to be flooded in light and filmed from every angle possible.Once that was done, he got ready for work, and after making himself and Harm breakfast, they said goodbye with a kiss and headed to their jobs.

Connie had taken a few days off around the holiday, and she had returned to work.“I have a project for you,” Derek told her.

She looked at him like he had just asked her to clean the bathrooms.“Not reorganizing the fiction section?”she groused.“I did that the last time.”

Derek groaned.“Is it time for that again?”He made a move to look it over and see what could be done. The last he’d looked, there was enough space for expansion, but sometimes it disappeared quickly.

“What is it?”

“I had an idea and thought it would be great if we had a summer book fair.Say in mid-August.There are plenty of local authors here in town. Some of them sell books at the Historical Society. There are a few book groups in the area.We could open it up to any authors who are interested. You’d need to figure out space, cost, tables, number of authors, and so on.If we could get a few really popular authors to take part, we could make a real splash.”

Connie’s face lit like a Christmas tree.“That is awesome.I brought it up a few years ago and it was shot down. There are a few very well-known authors who live in this area.I’ll start getting the planning together. We’d need to provide tables and chairs as well as space.”

“I knew this was right up your alley.Go ahead and start the planning. We have tables and chairs in storage, and we don’t need to provide power. The only direct expense to us is going to be people’s time, and that’s already in the budget.”

“So maybe we can make a little extra money for the library,” Connie said.

Derek shook his head.“All proceeds will go to the county reading program. We can put that on all the flyers and the website. It isn’t going to generate a great deal of money, but it will mean a lot to them and the schools they serve. We need a wide range of authors, including children’s books. This has to be something for people of all ages.”

Connie nodded.“Let me start to get things organized. We’re going to need to get the large decisions made pretty soon so we can start getting people signed up.”

“Is the end of the week too soon for a proposal?”He really wanted this well into the planning stages before the next board meeting.

“I’ll have it sent to you by the end of day Friday.”She hurried off, and Derek knew she was the perfect person to head this project. That was one of the most rewarding things as a supervisor: to see one of his people not only liking what they do, but being excited about it.“Connie,” he said, and she turned around.“Just an idea.Contact the English and foreign language departments at Dickinson. They may know people.”She gave him a thumbs-up and hurried to her desk.

“I NEEDhelp finding a book.”The gruff voice pulled his attention away from the screen.William stood glaring at him, and Derek’s belly did a little flip that had him wondering if he should hurry to the bathroom.

“Of course.”He stood as Vivian, one of the interns, approached.“Could you help this gentleman?”he asked her.“Thanks.”

She led William away, and Derek watched as she led him to the fiction section. After a few minutes, Vivian returned.“That man gave me the creeps.I told him where the books he wanted were, but he barely paid attention.”She shivered.

“Thank you.I kept an eye on the two of you.William… well, he’s my stalker, and he comes in here to try to get my attention. So what he really wanted was for me to help him.”

Vivian put her hands on her hips.“No way.The creep.Look, if he comes in again, just call and I’ll have him running all over the library.Just for fun.I had a stalker last year.It was one of the guys in my class. He followed me everywhere.”

“Did he try anything?Did he hurt you?”Derek asked.

“No.Nothing like that.He just kept following me, and finally I had to ask one of the big guys from one of my classes to have a talk with him.”She grinned.“Now we’re dating.”

“Your stalker?”
