Felix wanted to ask so many questions, but he’d promised to let Ryder finish.
“I know now that he was trying to push me. He knew I liked you more than I was letting on, and it wasn’t just because you fixed my broken dick.”
Felix snorted. “I’m sorry, what?”
“I’d been having some problems down there, and I thought it might be a prostate thing.”
Felix sucked in a breath.
“It’s all fine. Nothing medical. All in the head. But whenever I was near you, I was hard all the time. I think my heart was trying to tell me something.”
Felix smiled. It was kind of sweet, in the unique Ryder Quinn way.
“What was your prize?”
“Mason had to take Zeb away for a weekend at his cabin upstate.”
“How is that a prize for you?”
“I didn’t want a prize. I didn’t even want to make the bet,but I can never turn down a challenge. Mason knows me too well.”
“What does he get if we’re not together on New Year’s Eve?”
“What are you saying?” he asked, with panic in his voice.
Felix couldn’t help but chuckle.
“Don’t do that to me. I know you’re pissed with me, but I honestly didn’t even remember doing it.”
“What was Mason’s prize?”
“I had to take his place at the Valentine’s Day bachelor auction. It involves being sold off to the richest cougar, who paws you all night and tries to get into your pants.”
“Well, I think as your punishment, you should still do the charity auction.”
Ryder’s eyes widened in horror. Felix cracked up laughing.
“You fucker. I thought you were being serious.”
“I am being serious. But you need to make sure those grannies keep their hands to themselves.”
“Please, baby,” he said, nuzzling into Felix’s neck. “Let me make it up to you another way.”
“We could just not have sex for a month.”
“I’ll do the auction,” he said without hesitation.
“Okay, just a week,” said Felix, chuckling.
“I said I’d do the auction.”
He pushed Felix back onto the bed, looming over him and stealing a kiss. He brushed their hips together, showing Felix how hard he was.
“Where’s your mama and Laura?”
“I love it when you talk dirty.”
Felix laughed.
