Now he wanted to take the loving example his mother had set for him and start a family of his own with Abby.

Epilogue

Sadie and Reed’s Wedding

Theweatherwasperfect.

Spring showers had brought May flowers.

Abby stood next to Carrie and Kate in the town square as Sadie, in her beautiful long-sleeved white wedding gown, married Reed, who wore a charcoal gray suit with a black tie. They looked adorable.

The groomsmen were wearing gray suits and pink ties. The ties matched the pink dresses the bridal party were wearing.

And in the background were pink, yellow, and white tulips that came up every spring in the town square. They’d moved the wedding from the church to the town square because there were so many people who wanted to celebrate this special moment.

As the happy couple said their vows, Abby’s gaze sought out the best man.He was staring back at her.He looked so handsome. How had she gotten so lucky to find him?

Even though the plane accident had scared her, they’d both gotten back on a plane again. They promised to never let a month go by without seeing each other. And they’d been true to their word.Since declaring their love, they’d seen each other every couple of weeks, sometimes for a few days and sometimes just for the weekend. Thanks to Mia being the most amazing assistant manager, Abby felt confident leaving the coffeeshop in her capable hands when she flew to Chicago.

The next thing she knew, the pastor was saying, “You may kiss the bride.”

Reed swept Sadie into his arms.He kissed her, and then he dipped her back.A loud applause rippled through the guests with a few whistles here and there.Reed might be newish to Bayberry, but he’d quickly made friends. And she knew why.He was really easy to get along with. And she thought he would make Sadie very happy.

The newlyweds made their way along the makeshift aisle between the dozens and dozens of folding chairs.Abby stepped forward, and Brad met her at the end of the aisle. He hadn’t proposed yet—it was too soon—but her heart already told her that someday in the not-so-distant future, they too would be getting married.A smile pulled at the corner of her lips.Yeah, it was that once-in-a-lifetime, forever kind of love.

He looked into her eyes.“Are you happy?”

“Most definitely. Now let’s get a move on.You promised to dance with me at the reception.”

Abby couldn’t remember the last time she’d smiled this much. She smiled for pictures. She smiled during the receiving line. She smiled when Brad danced with her.

Her cheeks were sore from smiling so much, but that didn’t stop her from smiling some more. This was an awesome day.

After the music stopped, she followed Brad over to their table. They sat down. She thought about kicking off her heels, but she knew if she did that, she’d never put them on again.Still, the thought was tempting. Why hadn’t she thought to bring some sandals or something that was comfortable?

“And now it’s time for the bridal bouquet toss,” the DJ announced.“All you single ladies, step forward.”

Sadie stood in the middle of the dance floor as the women made their way onto the floor.

When Abby didn’t make any motion to join them, Brad asked, “Aren’t you going to join them?”

Abby shook her head.

“Why not?”

She looked at him.“Because I already found my forever love.I don’t need a bouquet to tell me what I already know.”

He grinned at her.“But I haven’t even proposed.”

“I know.But you will.”

He let out a laugh.“A little confident?”

She nodded.“I am.Very confident that we’ll go the distance.”

Their conversation was interrupted when Kate and Carrie appeared next to her.“Let’s go.”

Abby shook her head.
