His fingers tug on my hairband, the strands cascading over my shoulders. He groans into my mouth as he wraps my hair around his wrist.
The kiss is effortless. As if I’ve kissed him a million times. He’s familiar, yet new, his tongue testing mine with a gentle flick. I gasp down his throat, nibbling his bottom lip, wanting more, needing more.
I wrap my arms around his neck tighter, pulling myself closer, and he does the same. Elias’s hands find sanctuary on my back, and his arms embrace me, one palm on my hip while the other rests on my shoulder, yanking me as close as possible to his warm body. His chest is firm, and his stomach clenches when I turn my head, deepening the kiss.
A car honks driving by, ruining the moment completely when the passenger rolls down the window and cheers, “Woo! Hell yeah!”
Elias and I smile, our foreheads pressing against each other.
“Come on. Let’s get you inside, sweetheart. You must be freezing.”
The reminder that I’m wearing practically nothing hits me. The shock of the moment is wearing off. Only slightly, to clarify.
I shiver, my teeth chattering from the cold. My legs unwrap from around his waist but his hold on me intensifies.
“Where do you think you’re going?”
“I was going to show you to my apartment, so we aren’t out here all night. I am cold, now that you mention it.” My nose bumps his once, twice, before I swoop down to steal another kiss. His lips are firm, demanding, yet yield when I need them to.
His kiss has officially ruined any other kisses I have ever received.
“Tell me where to go. I’m not putting you down.” The way he looks at me, like I’m all that’s important in the world, has me holding my breath.
“Go up the stairs. I’m the first door on the right.”
He gives me a crooked grin. “See? That wasn’t so hard.”
Without putting me down, he manages to wrap his coat around me, pulling it tight across my back. I snuggle into his chest, my face against his neck just like I’ve daydreamed. I inhale, breathing in a strong scent of soap. My hands coast up his pecs, then slide around his torso to bury my arms under the coat too.
Unable to stop myself, my lips begin to move on their own accord, brushing across the sensitive skin of his neck. His fingers dig into the muscles of my shoulder, a growl trembling in his throat. I can feel the vibrations against my lips, and it has me pulling myself tighter against him, gasping against his flesh.
My tongue becomes needy, dying for his taste. He climbs up the steps, pausing against the railing while I lick up the column of his throat.
“Fuck.” His hand squeezes my hip. “If you don’t want to get fucked on this staircase right now, you better stop,” he warns.
All I’d have to do is reach down, unzip his jeans, pull him out, and push my shorts to the side, and he could have me any way he wants.
“I can’t help it.” A husky whisper controls my tone. “I’ve craved you for so long.”
“You’re killing me,” he groans. “Which door again?”
I giggle, pressing a kiss against his Adam’s apple. “First door on the right.”
“I’m so glad you don’t live further up. I wouldn’t make it.” The warmth of my apartment hits my back, the hinges squeaking like they always do.
I’m too lost in him to hear the lock sliding into place.
Thinking he’ll put me down now, I try to unwrap myself from his body when he spins us, slamming me against the door.
“I’ve waited too long to waste another fucking second.” He rips off his coat, allowing it to slide free from his arms and onto the floor in a pile.
His wide palms slide across my jaw before gripping it, forcing me to look at him. “Unbelievable,” he says, more to himself than me.
Elias crashes his lips onto mine again, this kiss desperate, needy, and hot. Our lips get lost, the kisses becoming greedy and messy. He keeps his hand in place, controlling every movement.
My body is electrified. The cold that was infiltrating my bones melts away. He groans, taking my wrists in one hand to pin them above my head.
“You have no idea what you’ve done to me over the last few weeks.” He nips at my bottom lip, thrusting his hips into me.
