“Then I’ll say I appreciate that mercenary attitude.”
“Thank you...I think.”
“And I’ll take it into consideration on one condition.”
“You’re going to name a condition I have to fulfill before you evenconsiderit?”
“Yes.”
I sighed. “Go ahead.”
“Who was it?” he asked in a sly voice.
I stopped towel-drying my hair to stare at him, confused. “What?”
“Who was the person you peeked at in the shower?” he asked with a grin.
My eyes widened, my face warming. “Seriously? That’s your condition?”
“What would I do with that information? Report you?” he asked wryly.
I huffed. It wasn’t a big deal to tell him, but it was slightly embarrassing. “Reggie.”
He cocked his head. “Really?”
“It was the first month I was here, and I’d been so busy, wrapped up in things that I hadn’t jerked off. Then he joined me for a workout. It was great, and all, and we came back to shower off here, and I don’t know...I looked.”
“And?”
“And what? He didn’t notice...I think.”
“Or he was too polite to say anything.”
“Yes, that. Thank you for affirming that as a possibility I don’t want to think too hard about.”
“Of course...now, what I was asking was, what was your assessment?”
I stared at him, struggling before letting myself speak. “His ass literally bounces when it’s not restrained by pants. Actually jiggles just from moving around. It was...distracting.”
“Undoubtedly,” Rowan said with a chuckle, wrapping his towel around his waist and tucking it in neatly. “You won’t hear any judgment from me.”
“I hope not,” I muttered and stopped when he grabbed my chin, pulling me up to face him, his eyes flicking to the doorway behind us before returning to my face.
“I look forward to seeing what comes of this. What was it you called it?”
“Uh,” I began, trying to think, but his proximity wasreallydistracting.
“Strength of our new bond, wasn’t it?”
“Yeah, that was it.”
“Well, I look forward to seeing what comes of our new bond,” he said, shocking me with a kiss that was deep but didn’t linger before he walked off, his clothes tucked under his arm as he made for the lockers.
“Yeah, sure, me too,” I muttered, my finger drifting up to my face to rest on my lips thoughtfully.
The real question was whether I should look forward to it or be worried.
